Heartfelt community, but some transparency gaps!…read more I visited Holy Family four times and loved seeing the joyful, engaged students and the peaceful atmosphere of Sunday Mass. There's a lot of heart here, but as a single mom, I want to share a few tips for other parents considering this school: * Ratios vs. Reality: While online stats say 13:1, that's not true. TK class of 20 and class of 35 beginning in 1st grade. There is an aide and teacher per grade level. It's a significant jump from the "official" numbers listed on niche and other sites describing this school with small classroom sizes. * The Assessment: My 3-year-old was interviewed alone in a small room; a tough separation if you aren't expecting it. * Transparency: Between a 3-hour Sunday commitment (Mass plus tour), 2 hr weekday school tour, a weekday interview on a different date than the tour, and the $125 fee, I wish there was more clarity on actual spot availability upfront instead of "we encourage you to apply right away." Ultimately, my child wasn't accepted which was a blessing in disguise (we found a welcoming Catholic school to start his TK adventure in the fall). The rejection letter cited "fit," and while it encouraged us to resubmit next year, I didn't consider this a viable option. It felt a bit dismissive to ask a family to repeat such a time-intensive, costly process without any feedback on what "fit" actually meant or what would change next time. I'm sharing this so other families can ask the right questions before diving in. Wishing the HFCS community all the best!

This review is regarding the Summer Camp at Salem Lutheran private school…read more We were told they only accept a number of students and even though they are all pretty much together the little ones would be watched over and be together most the time. Absolutely not. They have small children ages 4 years old mixed in with children going into 7th grade the entire time! They use the excuse that majority of the kids attending are related to each other and cry if they cannot be with their sibling/cousin and that's why they put them all together. Disregarding kids that have no relatives present, and they do not provide age appropriate instructions. Rather, they allow their TA's to give instructions to all the kids, instead of asking of a small child can even read or write. They ask the older kids to take care of the small ones and even take them to the restroom to wash their hands or go to the bathroom. If you want your child to have age appropriate instructions or activities, along with help to go to the restroom please do not go here! The mix of preteens with kids who have not even started TK is wildly inappropriate and they use "family" and older older kids being "nurturing" as an excuse to not separate kids, hire age specific teachers and to actually provide age appropriate care for kids with a huge age gap.

We are truly blessed to have found such a safe, loving environment for our children. The campus is beautiful and the equipment is new. Kids can really be just kids. They run around and play. We love watching our kids actually moving their bodies and working out. They plead to go to afterschool camp every day. The class sizes are amazing. There are assistant teachers in each classroom. If a student needs more assistance they can easily get it, instead of struggling alone. Dr. Chun is an amazing Principal and runs the school like a well oiled machine. The character values they instill Caring Attitude Respect Gratitude Perseverance Self Control are amazing. I wish they had a high school too.

This school does not focus on academic rigor. There is no homework or grades until 4th grade. The amount of regression in education we witnessed was sad, anger inducing, and extremely upsetting. We wasted a year of tuition and our child's time and would NEVER recommend this school for children who are not special needs or have other socialization issues.

The teachers at Fusion were so encouraging, compassionate, and creative, and admin gives them the flexibility to change things up to meet the student's needs. They work with kids with learning differences as well as with the gifted--in the case of my child, he is a combination of both! Classes are held 1:1, which is ideal for some kids, but certainly not for everyone. Communication with parents is consistent (daily). Staff is friendly, positive, and personal. In addition, the physical environment is soothing and beautiful. Their graduation ceremony was the most personalized and meaningful one I have ever attended. The only drawbacks are that there is no play yard, though they are able to walk to a nearby park, and the school is small, so the social interactions are naturally a bit limited. However, the staff works hard to facilitate socializing. If you are seeking a school that is nothing like traditional school, check out Fusion!

You can tell they don't just see this as a job; they are deeply invested in the growth and well-being of every single child. They gladly volunteer on Friday nights for student-only events (who does this?), which proves how much they love the kids. This passion is also reflected in their unmatched language immersion program. The way they balance Mandarin, Spanish and English creates such a natural, fluid learning environment that gives the kids a massive head start for global travel, learning and potential work as adults. The most special and rare part of Oasis Trilingual is the community. It's the kind of place where all the parents actually know each other. There is a tangible sense of "it takes a village" here--everyone is willing to volunteer, dedicate their time, and step up to help the school thrive. Seeing so many parents who are genuinely invested in the success of all the children, not just their own, is what makes this environment so unique. Parents don't just drop-off and leave; they drop-in and help. If you are looking for a school that offers both high-level bilingual or trilingual education and a warm, supportive community that feels like family, this is it!!! 100/10.

We appreciate the individualized learning plans that consistently challenge him. He's learned so much in both Mandarin and Spanish, despite little to no exposure before Oasis. The parent community has been terrific - everyone is committed to what's best for the school and the students, and we support each other. Oasis has the best parts of a small, community-driven school with a keen attention to educating the whole child.
