We took pictures of the hole and went back to committed ink to ask Sean why the hole was now longer and bigger but he insisted that he pierced the same hole. In the picture you can clearly see that the hole is in fact, larger and longer than than the original hole which means that if he had actually re-pierced the same hole there would be no rip like trauma to the area. When we asked for a refund since the job was not done correctly, we were then told that she had signed a disclaimer. However, she had in fact NOT signed any form therefore, legal action will be taken accordingly. Very unprofessional.

I went to small town ink for a second helix and my third lobe piercings. My piercer was Katie. My…read morehelix was first, she put in a hoop, which I thought strange bc my first helix piercing at a different location they told me you should start out with a flat stud, which after research I found true. I assumed she knew better than I, as she is the professional. Next were my third lobe piercings, and as she inserted the jewelry, I knew the piercing would not heal. She fumbled around the piercings, causing more damage than necessary. She inserted studs with heads far too small, and the swelling of my ears overtook them. I have numerous other piercings and know proper care for them. Having my hunches, I did the correct aftercare for the piercings, and lining up with my hunch, they never healed. Not my lobes, nor my helix. Again I cannot emphasize enough that I have numerous other piercings and have never once had the issues I've had with these ones. One lobe had so much scar tissue I've had to go to dermatologists to help. I can no longer pierce any section of my lobe because of the trauma to the tissue during the piercing. The best I can say is that the employees were kind and helpful, and prices are decent. This is probably a great place for tattoos, but for ear piercings I would recommend somewhere else.

A California poppy because I'm born and raised in Northern California. And pink azaleas because I had one in the front yard of my child hood home. My first…read moreimpressions of the studio were, it's clean, the lobby was welcoming and had good seating with a portfolio of each artists work. I was greeted by one of the Tattoo Artists, Raul. Raul greeted me as I walked into the studio and quickly made me feel at home and walked me through all of the different Tattoo Artists work and booth areas. I left my contact information for a consultation with Raul and was contacted the very next day to begin my tattoo journey. Raul got me into his booth for tattooing the design I chose two weeks later from my consult. I have gotten over 36 hours of tattoo work done in the past. Hands down, my experience at Universal Rites Tattoo was one of my better experiences while getting tattooed. Raul's booth had a super comfortable table to lie on while being tattooed, his tattoo machines are newer models that don't hurt like the older machines used to and his booth was filled with art that he hand painted himself. Raul's work shows for itself, his line work is some of the best I've come across. My tattoo process was seamless, damn near painless and some of the more affordable prices I've come across. I'm excited to keep scheduling more future work through this studio and hopefully try out the other great Artists who work there.

Well, ALL my worries were completely diminished when Mark, the owner, came out and sat with us to thoroughly discuss the good and bad of what "might" happen. He stayed with Charlie through the whole visit. Charlie was so incredibly genuine and really took the time to listen to our wants. You have to understand, these tattoos are very small crescent moons.
