Sundays you will find 3 services 9 AM & 11 AM are in English and at 1:30 PM en español. Unity is a spiritual center that believes there's no wrong path to God. Are you a Jew? Welcome. Are you Christian? Come on down. Are you a Baptist? Step right up. Maybe Buddhism is your cup of tea? Namaste, my friend. This congregation is diverse. Black, White, Hispanic, Latino, Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Purple! (Okay, one of those is a bluff - based on the fact that I've never seen a purple people, but they'd be welcomed with open arms!) A typical service includes live music (with a band and choir), meditation, and positive uplifting message, and more spectacular music. There's a children's ministry. As well as special workshops and guest speakers. There's a bookstore on site with books, trinkets, and other spiritual trinkets for purchase to guide you on your spiritual journey. Seeking to turn a new leaf, I followed the advice of both Tatyana C and a non-Yelp friend who had great things to say about this church. I'm not going into a theological discourse, but what I like best about Unity in contrast with the religion of my upbringing is it's emphasis on positivity and how the connection with God / Higher Power / the Universe can worked with to better oneself. Unlike a traditional church, the "altar" looks more like a concert auditorium, the membership is diverse, and the minister seems approachable and human. The sermon doesn't feel like you're being talked down to, either and the meditation is refreshing and relaxing. Everything went very smoothly and people were even crying from how wonderful the ceremony was. My sister (the bride) was very happy and so was her husband. I'm glad that everything went as planned. The ceremony was even a bit funny, thanks to Father David. He is a bit of a jokester and made the experience a great one. My favorite part of the ceremony was when my sister told the photographers to cut a part out where she mis-spoke and Father David said "What is this? Bloopers"? Everyone in the church was dying of laughter. I would highly recommend this church if you are getting married or even having a baptism. It is beautiful on the inside and outside of the church.

Today HIT me hard, and for some reason I turned up at this place RIGHT at the very time the doors were open for Christmas Eve Mass (it was not planned, but I believe in fate and sometimes, someone, somewhere, whoever it is, is giving me what I need at certain times). I felt so completely desolate and alone today. I stood outside with my mask on, with tears pouring down my face right outside the nativity scene and watched loads of people enter this beautiful church. A priest saw me and beckoned me in and I just smiled and declined. In that moment I was compelled to go inside, but I wanted to be 100 per cent safe. I also saw a rainbow today, and I feel my mum was walking with me today in my loneliness and sadness.
