I've visited a couple times as part of the congregation, and two other times (to play for a funeral and to cover for a Sunday Mass). Fr. Tom Burdick was welcoming and provided a wonderful Homily during all my visits here. And Laura was also welcoming and informative for me as an outside musician. The church has a very open layout and a really nice audio/visual system. There's plenty of parking and it was easy to get in and out of. She had us wait over a year to register our daughter for the teen 1st communion & confirmation program (until she was in high school) and told us that as long as she was baptized and enrolled in the program she would be able to pick a date for her quince and could be held there. We enrolled her as instructed once she hit 9th grade and now she has been told there will be no quinceañera bc she has to have her 1st communion prior. It took a long while to get our daughter back into church after all unfortunate events that had her lose her faith and now she has been misled. We fear that this disappointment will result in starting over. When I discussed our past communications she indicated that she was under the assumption my daughter had attained her 1st communion, although this was clarified several times and she is enrolled in the program to attain this, which makes zero sense if she already has this. The information is inconsistent, I believe this Parrish is all ab money and is very much deceptive.

While out here for a 3 month assignment, I was looking for a RC Church at which to attend Mass…read more I found this Church. It is an Anglican-Roman Catholic Church. The congregation meets in a store front. (I'm used to that, our Church started like that. We now have a 1/8th Basilica for our sanctuary). This is 'o.k.' Per the CA Bishops, so it 'counts' as weekly Mass. It is a very different experience. The Altar is placed so the Priest has his back to the congregation. There is a Communion rail, with an Altar boy and a paten. It was all very pre-Vatican 2. Thankfully, they have books at each seat so I was able to follow along, and respond appropriately. The wording was very different. It was a completely new experience for me. They had 7-10 men up on the side Altar. (I got lost and was ~10 min late, so I don't know if they said anything), or if that is how many men they have every Sunday. Ultimately, I was uncomfortable, because I didn't know what to do. Then I told myself to calm down, you are here for God, not to act like you know what you are doing.

It is conveniently located and we found our fellow church goers friendly and inviting during the exchange of Peace. This is a broad and inclusive church. We came here on the Sunday after Christmas and met the Cannon to the Ordinary, who was here to celebrate on this low Sunday. She preached on the Gospel of John. The church itself has nice seating and the acoustics are perfect for their choir. The campus itself is large and there is plenty of parking. We will be back again on our next visit.

Maybe that was just the weekend I was there. The weather was quite hot and one time the 'side' was a soup. It looked lovely but none of us really went for it. Portions were on the smaller side, but the group I was with was mostly 70+ in age. I did want an extra korean rib and they said things were portioned for the number in the group. But if there was some left I could come back and grab one. Makes sense. The conference rooms had fridges and kitchenettes so you could store any food/drinks you brought with. Also coffee and creamer every morning. If you have not been, keep in mind this is a NUNNARY. Rooms and facilities are very basic. Beds were fine. Each room has AC and a bathroom with shower. My one gripe is they had lots of standing water around the property. Which means mosquitos and I definitely came home with bites. Also the pool was non-operational. Which I planned to use since one day was 85. I do hear prices are going up again next year. I guess it is what it is.

I really hate to say the price keeps going up and the quality is going down. The food used to be amazing! The selections awesome! Sunday brunch was just like I was going out to a fine dining place. Unfortunately, the last few years the quality and selection is not the same for all the meals. I feel someone is budget shopping for ingredients and the chef is trying to make the best he can with what he is given. But it's not worth what I am paying. I shouldn't have to bring I food to supplement the food I am already paying for. Their ice tea used to be wonderful but now you know it's not real brewed tea. This weekend, trash not emptied, ice not replenished, paper towels out in the coffee area, they are adding water to the soap in the bathroom to make it last longer, etc. prices are going up but services are going down. The staff are amazing but it seems like they are really limiting the quality of what they can do. If you need to raise prices to keep quality it these tough economic times it ok! But don't raise prices and lower quality without written notice of what you are doing.

Wat Ratanapanya Buddhist Temple in Wildomar, California, on Orange St. is blessed with thankfulness. Like Findhorn, I assume, as I've only read about it, but this Buddhist Temple seems to embrace the concept that as you care for what you have, It will not just thrive, but thrive in a bountiful way. Perhaps that's not the Buddhist's understanding or devotion. The Buddhist's way might come more from a devotion to Buddhist ideals of gratitude and that of impermanence. The gardens, in Wildomar, resemble that kind thankfulness with love and respect, though fleeting, like a mandala. There are beautiful flowers, trees, and plants everywhere. The Monks continually tend to the grounds. This is quite a large area, settled in a residential neighborhood. The Monks are welcoming and gentle. Just as one would expect. A place of meditation is outside as you enter the grounds, just past a grassy area. A very large statue of The Buddha is within the covered meditation area . There are a few other buildings as well. Several Llama's reside there. They have a pot luck on Sundays at noon. Vegan of course. My sense is that it might be best to visit midweek and ask if you might come. I intend to, as I was invited. Bless them all. .

There are small groups, men's and women's ministry as well as community and world wide outreach. The people have been there for me when we were in need. They'll tell you the AC works but don't be fooled, it's cooler outside than in the room. We paid $105 per person for one night and ended up having to leave because we were suffocating in the room. There were mice and huge black spiders in our bathroom It was bad, so so bad. 0/10 would not recommend.
