The food was pretty good especially for a $7/ticket. I am sure they subsidize and sponsor the meals as the food was hefty. If they have more talks and programming I am open to coming back for events.

Love this masjid. The community is family…read more The oldest masjid in San Diego , still apart of the community. Close to downtown. Brothers and sisters do outreach to the unfortunate downtown. The masjid is kept clean, the cook great lunches every friday after prayer, that could be purchased. Very nice masjid!

There's a quote on their wall inside the masjid that says something along the lines of "be good to the traveler and people who come to seek knowledge." Yet they completely disregard it and are very dismissive and even rude to people whoghey perceive as not "Muslim enough. Will not be returning and bringing my kids to a place like this that doesn't follow the Sunnah of the prophet pbuh or even offer hospitality to guests. I want better for my children and the community in general. If you got this far into reading this, stay far away from this mosque. MCC is only around 15 minutes away and is a much better atmosphere and overall feels much more Islamic.

It's such a beautiful sound that touches your soul and grabs your heart. Even if you're a non believer, one would appreciate the beauty. Location is very convenient (off 5 fwy)! So happy there's this beautiful masjid here in Irvine. I was a bit weary of the parking, especially coming for Tarawih prayer. I got in a lil after 8 & there was still lots of parking! I ended up parking in the New Horizons School parking lot. The street parking was full. I am not sure how full the actual parking was in the lot of the masjid. By the entrance there were workers directing people in where to park. The atmosphere is just lovely. The interior feels very very clean & I loved how the sisters area is a mezzanine, & not just a separate room completely blocked off (if you have been to other masjids you know what I'm talking about lol). It was a bit hot in there, which is probably my only complaint. The speakers here were so good & the sound was on point. The way it echoes throughout the masjid is just heartwarming! I love going here so far, the recitation is just amazing. Can't wait to come back again!
