Our family had a fantastic time, minus two little ones that got sea sick. The A/C cabin helped. Our 10 year old caught a barracuda- she was stoked! We continued to catch all morning and had a blast. Captain Hayden canceled our full day offshore fishing trip supposedly due to rough seas. He suggested the shark fishing trip which we discussed and agreed to do. We arrived and boarded the boar. The captain then drove us maybe 100 yards from the marina where he anchored and we fished. Caught 2 sharks in about 30 minutes and then nothing else. We pulled up anchor and drove to the other side of the sandbar and fished for about 2 hours where we didn't catch anything. Not sure why we spent so much time there and didn't try another spot. If you are considering this charter, keep shopping and if you do choose this boat, do not do the shark fishing. Definitely not worth the price! read more

We did a full day trip with these guys today and it was GREAT. We came to Islamorada for the sport fishing and boy did we get it! It was just my mom and I but we ended up with 50 lbs of dolphin meat!!! My mom ended up getting sea sick - but she normally does. They had an air conditioned salon for her to go lay in and it helped her. I ended up being a lone fisherman but the first mate, Coleman, was amazing and quick. He had me reeling in mahi after mahi. Haden was a great captain... he searched and searched and put us over many different schools where we hooked them left and right. Capt. Hayden and Coleman took myself and 5 co-workers out this past Thursday and it was an awesome experience for all!! They put us on the mahi-mahi right away which we caught and numerous times all 6 of us had a fish on which Coleman removed and throw our line back out only to caught another one. In all the group caught 40 mahi during the fishing trip. Not only did Capt. Hayden found us fish, he also filleted all the fish so we could travel home with the fish packed so it could be eaten or frozen. These guys were nothing less than fantastic! I booked an evening shark fishing trip for my kids while on vacation and everything about the trip was outstanding. The captain and first mate were very helpful with all the kids, and the very supportive with making sure they all walked away thrilled to death and had the pictures to prove it. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with kids ranging from 10 to 15 and some of them never before catching a fish, but the support that they provided was top notch. I booked a night shark and tarpon charter with Captain Kevin a couple days ago, and the only negative I can say is that it was the second day of my vacation and it was all downhill from there. The absolute highlight of my trip. I have two kids, 7 and 9 who have never fished saltwater before, Captain Kevin and mate Sammie couldn't have been more awesome with the kids. After they each caught thier first shark, Captain made them sharktooth necklaces which they loved. He was so patient and informative with them, I couldn't have asked for more. On top of that we caught stingrays, more sharks, had an angry baracuda on, and landed a nice bucket list tarpon for me. If you want to do an easy charter with your family, look no further! read more

Kevin's boat is extremely clean- and his crew was friendly. We went out last night, and we didn't catch any fish, not even a bite. Three hours, and we didn't even see a fish. This happens, however, I would have expected that Kevin would have been extended some courtesy and reduce our charge, or offered a discount for a later trip. Very disappointing!! If you want to fish with the best there is and get the best instruction on how to catch and land the trophy fish of your dreams(or any fish in the ocean) then you need to book captain Kevin and first mate mike own the gold reserve charter! Did I mention they also film your trip with GoPro camera and send you an edited video almost instantaneously the night after your charter?! We shopped around quite a few marinas before talking to captain Kevin and mike and instantly deciding to book them on a sunset shark trip that night to get used to the boAt and gear and then again for a 3/4 day offshore trip the next day! We caught 7 or 8 nurse sharks which was a blast and mike told us we would cry "uncle" which we did ! Reeling them in was a an amazing workout and learning experience for the next day! We started out on the hunt for baitfish to catch my dream of a trophy sailfish and we landed on a school of snappers of various species! We quickly pulled in our limit with even the captain coming down to get in on the action! So much fun hen equally exciting as the ballyhoo kept working their we loser to finally see captain Kevin throw the net a few times and fill up the live well with the freshest bait possible!
