Abby made beautiful canvas for my new boat. Not cheap - it was over $10k, but it really is gorgeous.
The whole thing would have been great except it was then impossible to get a call, text or email returned.
It would have been easy to return my phone calls and emails about minor issues that needed to be fixed. Don't get me wrong. She was willing to fix these problems (premature wear in a couple of spots that needed reinforcement, problems with weights in a winter cover etc). But first I had to make literally DOZENS of phone calls, text messages, emails and go to the store in person.
Island Canvas has gone the extra mile for me in some places, but failed to do the basics in other places. Going the extra mile only works if you've gone the FIRST mile.
I don't understand why island canvas does the hard part (good canvas) so well and the easy part (answering the phone/email) so badly. Do they really think it makes good business sense to dodge a good customer who spends lots of money when they want a couple of sandbags repaired? read more
