TopSafe insurance was good the first year and a half. This renewal was a nightmare all thanks to…read morethe owner Laura. My policy was terminated by the company at no fault of mine. I reached out to Laura she advised I needed to pay for a wind mitigation and 4-point inspection and stated my inspections from when I purchased the house in 2020 would not be valid for the company she was trying to move me to. She provided a number to an inspection company and told me to tell them she referred me to them. While I was in the process of that I received an email from Laura that said my renewal was complete. So I did not schedule the inspections. Fast forward to today I was made aware by my mortgage company that my insurance has expired and they don't have anything on record. I called Laura who immediately took no responsibility and said she "told me what I needed to do". I told her about the email I received saying I was all set and her reply was" that was an automatic email, I told you what I needed to renew you." I acknowledged that but again brought the email to attention that is contrary to her statements. She again dodged responsibility and when I asked her why she didn't contact me she said it's not her responsibility and that she "can't call all her clients." This blew my mind that's literally her job and I told her that. She was again nonchalant repeated that she told me what to do and she didn't reach out because she didn't know if I went with another company. I told her I would schedule the inspections and might get back to her and her incompetence if I could not find an alternative route. I asked for the info again to the inspectors and she said she would email it to me. She never sent the email. I found the original email with the Company she recommended and requested I plug that she referred me. When I contacted this company they advised me they don't cover my area. Laura is so incompetent she referred me to somebody who could not help me. Hey Laura I found another agent that gave me the same quote from the same company you claimed I had to have a new inspection in order to receive coverage and guess what they used the inspection reports from when I purchased the house. I now have coverage no thanks to you or TopSafe Insurance. So again you failed to provide accurate information and customer support. Terrible costumer service and does not have your best interest at heart in her words "not her job to contact everybody she works with." I would not recommend her to anybody! I thought an insurance brokers job is to stay in communication with their clients... not Laura she shouldn't be expected to do her job. Her words not mine

We are working to secure replacement coverage for you and your account manager will be reaching out shortly to review options with you." I did not hear from Most and called them a few days the date our insurance was supposed to disappear and asked them about the replacement coverage. They said they sent an email (which I never received) saying they couldn't find replacement coverage because my roof was too old. They were uninterested in helping me and finally hung up on me. I'm afraid most failed me as my broker and would not recommend them.

I started looking at companies that would insure older homes after my current insurer (USAA - love them) was unable to work with older homes. I was put in contact with Marshall Hair. Let me just start by saying he is prompt, intelligent and such a nice person to deal with. When buying or attempting to buy an older home, the insurance and inspections, etc can be all consuming. We've had to come back at least three times for new quotes on different houses. Each time, I have to say, Marshall was super nice and helpful and very prompt with quotes. Honestly, he's gone beyond the call of duty to help us get the best company at the best rate. He will even check your current auto rates and let you know if he can beat them. I can't enough good things about this company and Marshall in particular. BTW, you do not have to be in Tampa or St. Pete to use them. They cover a wide area. My advice is to give them a call!

The agent "Liz DeBaco" put me off and put me off, Oh I am sorry I haven't got a quote yet, I will have it for you at the end of the day, so she said 3 times. She was out of the Office for an Appt, and running late, and I was told by someone else, that she would be sure to put me in front and that was two days ago. If I could have gotten a quote to compare to what I had, maybe they would be less, but as it is, shopping early to avoid last minute will never work at this agency, save yourself some aggravation, and just call someone else, as this is the Advice Ms. DeBaco gave me when I had to call my fourth time. Evidently, they are so short staffed, that in 2 1/2 weeks she could not find time to enter a little information into her computer system to provide a simple quote. Come on, what is there anyway, but a few short questions to get a condo quote. I GIVE THIS COMPANY A NEGATIVE 10 STARS.
