Dara and…read moreBrendan are so lovely, so thoughtfully creative, and just a delight to have present for your wedding day. Leading up to the big day, Dara and Brendan were extremely communicative and reponsive. They called me a few weeks beforehand to run through a schedule of the day and took plenty of time to talk about detailed shots I did or didn't want included. Since they have a social media presence, I was also able to scope out some ideas of what shots I liked and wanted to capture. That was an awesome feature of working with them! For example, I knew I wanted some black and white veil shots, and they dedicated time for making that happen on the big day. On the day of the wedding, Dara and Brendan very seamlessly joined our wedding party and got to work! Since they work as a couple, they are able to get double the shots! Dara was in the bridal suite with the girls while Brendan covered the guys. It was awesome having shots of everybody getting ready and not feeling pressed for time. They also managed to capture so many details that I wouldn't have considered wanting photographs of, but now I'm so glad we have them (our flowers, table spreads, personalized matchbooks, the jewelry we wore). On our wedding day, they managed to get all of the shots we asked for in a timely manner without feeling rushed. Just a few days after the wedding, we received a preview!! That was super cool, because of course all you want to do after the wedding is see your photos. The entire album came a month or so later, but I thought it was very generous that they worked so quickly to send a preview. All of the photos were worth the wait- Dara and Brendan truly made art that will last us a lifetime. It was a very warm august day so we didn't spend much time outside but we did tour the grounds. Quickly. They have a pool but it was not opened. The rooms were very nice. The bed and bedding were amazing. I've stayed in many hotels and idk where they got this bedding from but it was great. I slept like a baby. I'm guessing since this is not a chain they don't have a group of people telling them they need to buy 10000 units from sterns and fosters. If we ever find ourselves in Bonita springs again and need to spend the night it would be here.

YOLO... one of the few options on both Captiva and Sanibel islands to rent a golf cart. It's…read morespecifically for Captiva but there are few options along either island. I was less than impressed with our whole experience. We booked a golf cart for the weekend ahead of our stay, and only got the confirmation email of our payment and nothing more. Not any type of instructions on when or how to get the golf cart, when their website says they will deliver it and we requested we wanted it delivered when we made the reservation.. So we call that morning when it's open and they say to come pick it up- still never any communication more than that about our whole reservation. If we hadn't called I'm not sure they ever would have followed up with us. Then, we go to pick it up and probably get one of the crappiest golf carts I've ever used lol. And I was a golfer so I've used many a golf cart- this one struggled to even go like 8mph. We also saw other golf carts rented from another business on the island that were multitudes nicer than the one we got. And I wouldn't have a huge problem with a low quality golf cart except we paired nearly $200 to have it for a little over a day. That's kind of nuts, even for a tourist island. All in all it was just disappointing and a pain to use YOLO for a rental service. If I come back to the island I'd use a different rental company.
