It hurt like the dickens, but then I forgot about it until hours later, when I realized it was swollen, stiff, and bruised. After a few days of sensitivity and pain impairing the use of my hand, I saw a doctor, who ruled out fracture and offered only to tape/immobilize it (which would have been a bad approach). I remembered IRG offers hand PT, so I scheduled with Rachel Moyles. She is WONDERFUL. She diagnosed an injury to the ulnar nerve and began teaching me a series of exercises -- tendon glides and stretches to restore function, and a special putty to regain pressure tolerance and strength. She also had me use a wonderful fluidotherapy apparatus, an enclosure that circulates warm cellulose particles, bathing the hand in comfort while going through range of motion. Finally, she recommended wearing a compression glove most of the time, especially at night. I felt immediate improvement, and in one month of weekly visits (and daily exercises) I was "graduated." Rachel's calm, cheerful, positive support made our sessions a pleasure, and I highly recommend her services! I can say my hand is fully restored -- and I still do the exercises sometimes when I think of it :^)

At first I was excited about the chance to get PT help with someone focused only on feet. I was put off by her irritation that she had to message and minipulate both my feet!, she complained about this more than once. Sorry but both feet were sore. When I last saw her she told me that people when they are old have sore feet. "Haven't you noticed how old people stand up slowly?", she said. I'm 65 and this was the last straw and the last visit. Later I found a good PT person who recognized that I needed to stretch and exercise my whole body so I could walk relaxed. This along with feet exercises finally helped. I had no relief from Walk of Life. Secondly she recommended custom made orthotics, this was $485 and she would not bill insurance for this. I never could wear these orthotics, instead I bought some on Amazon for $28 and they worked much better. Also I had to buy some cream at a custom pharmacy so she could do something do my feet. The cream was about $85 and was of no use to me other than with her machine. Next she recommended I buy special tape and wrapping material, another expense. UGGH
