I like to be able to see all of my available options. I booked the Custom Luxury Facial because I wanted a great facial as well as relaxation. Boy did I pick the right thing! I can't even begin to tell you what all she did, because I lost track of all the awesome steps. I can tell you that I added on a chest facial. I'm so glad I did. It's such a neglected part of our bodies. My facial also included either microdermabrasion or dermaplaning. Kirsten chose microdermabrasion for my chest and dermaplaning for my face. She did a really good job! I made an appointment a week ago because one of my nails had popped off. I made the mistake of putting nail glue and gluing it back (because I was going out to dinner.). I showed up for the appointment and I was told I needed ti wait, until it popped off again. Well I'm back this morning to get it replaced. This morning, not so friendly nor did she take the care as the first day. I did ask for them to be shortened a little( I'm thinking she would check in the length as she went but no. This time she did not build the nail up I lost like the original. She took a short cut and didn't build a base with a tip she just used acrylic so of courses it wasn't going to be as long as before and now it is too short. I tried to look as she worked but she didn't like me moving my feet to see what she had done. I at the end commented that they did not match and were very short. She asked if I wanted her to file it and I said no because we are at the quick of my nail and it's too late. She just ignored me and told me what I owed. I found out what her schedule was and actually stopped into the salon to meet her and to talk to her about what I was looking for show her pictures like I did the lady before and discuss what she could do. This was another flawed experience as I treated my mom and myself to basic pedicures-right away they tried to recommend gel polish and we declined then the lady doing my mom's pedicure told my tech to add an upcharge of $5 for gel removal -yet nowhere on the price sheet does it say that is an added charge-nor any signs in the salon to advertise this and I'm pretty sure most people do gel today. It is very typical for nail salons here to tell you after the fact that things are extra so I was already annoyed starting off with it but trying to give it a chance and not ruin the experience for my mom. I sat right next to my mom who had regular polish on arrival and the time and process was the exact same and when I questioned the charge the women just went back and forth in their language and then asked if I still wanted it! Well you kind of put me in a pickle at this point as you already started my mom's pedicure and then started soaking my feet until my tech was ready so I just figured let's see how the rest of the service goes. They literally used the same little sander/drummel for both of our pedicures to remove the polish yet I was still charged the added $5 at the end. The tech did a good job on the pedicure overall but nothing that would have me drive out of my way again for it. There is a common theme here that every salon tries to sell you extra and I get that but you as a nail salon will not get repeat customers when you deceive them just to try and pad the bill. I do not recommend this salon despite the positive reviews. I would have been pleased had they done something extra for the charge -maybe an extra minute of massage since that was lackluster .
