There were 7 of us, he was patient, kind, and accommodating as only one of us is experienced with getting tattooed. He's light handed but these lines will definitely hold. I'm so glad I stopped in during my vacation in Hilton Head! The owner, Navad, and the female receptionist were very welcoming when I walked in the door. I asked if they took walk-ins and they said of course. Navad helped me design a tattoo and decide on placement right away. We got to talking and he is such an inspiration and truly an amazing artist. One of the best experiences I've had at a tattoo shop and I've been to several domestically and internationally. I will be traveling to Hilton Head just to get another tattoo by him in the future! Amazing experience here! Three of us walked in two hours before they close just for a quote, but the artist ended up doing all three of us and stayed an hour after closing. 3 big, perfect tattoos! Terrible customer service. Me and two of my friends made an appointment for 5 on a Saturday and when we showed up, the building was closed. We waited for 30 minutes outside and nobody ever showed up or answered our calls and the website said they closed at 9 p.m. Would highly recommend not getting a tattoo here! read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I don't know who owns this place but apparently they don't care if they make money or have employees that give a shit. My friend and I are in town for vacation and really wanted to get tattoos together. This place had a good google rating and the website said they took walk-ins. We were each only getting a couple small ones so nothing that would take up too much time. We pulled up around 12:30, 30 min after they opened. There were no customers and the employees were just sitting outside. Not a big deal until one of the female employees made a pissed of face as we pulled up like "oh damn someone's here." My friend asked if they were taking walk-ins and the male employee said "not really." What the hell does that even mean!? When my friend asked if we should call later he said to call around 4 or 5. Well according to Google they close at 5pm so he knew what he was doing and I'm sure they had a good laugh about it when we left. IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB MOVE ALONG!! at the risk of being in trouble with others that i was with .. i can't divulge EVERYTHING that was done. What i can say is ask for Val.. she has a kind heart and a real artistic talent. Gave 4 stars because she was on her own... no assistance - and an appointment that should have only been a few hours turned into 10 !! Couldn't do anything the entire day and had to cancel plans - she had to cover the phones, walk ins and us. Loved her dog but not a huge fan of it being in the room with us! We were all exhausted when we left but really happy with our work - they are beautiful :) again - wish i could post a pic but they would kill me !!!!!!!!!!! read more

I came here today with my fiancé to get wedding band tattoos and was thoroughly disappointed. The crew was firstly off putting and drinking on the job. Then when I show a somewhat detailed smaller tattoo they proceeded to tell me it was impossible. That is an exaggeration but what really made me mad is when I proceeded to ask them to maybe simplify it they told me "the artists are too good to do that tattoo. There detail is on larger more sensible tattoos." I will NEVER come back here of course and I went to there competition, Incredible Ink, who in fact did the tattoo perfectly and without being complete douchebags. read more

I got my first tattoo at the age of 48 at Island Tattoo. I will never go back again, although I want more. There is no ink in the center of my family tree trunk. I want more tattoos, so my husband bought me a gift certificate for $150. They charged my credit card $170 and now they won't give me an appointment or even listen to my design ideas. It's August and that was a Christmas gift if that gives you any idea of the run around I'm getting. My credit card is giving me shit about a refund because I don't know how to determine the return policy on my own inked skin. That's it folks. So, for $20 this shop is willing to screw you without so much as the courtesy of a snack, much less a date. I am willing to amend this if anyone there has the sack to just apologize and refund my credit card so we can all move on. Otherwise, watch out. If they are willing to steal from me, imagine what they will do to you. read more

They have a really clean shop and friendly service BUT...they do not stick to their word on price! I got an estimate on a tattoo and then went in a week later to get it and they more than doubled the price on me! So if they give you a good price take if RIGHT THEN or they might shoot the price way up on you before you know it! read more
