Absolutely screwed me. I gave them 30min of slop to pick me up for an event. They did not even call to say they would be late. After waiting 10min, I callled them for an update. Told me 10 more min. After that amount of time, I called again just be told that they were still 20min out. I then had to drive myself, destroying my evening plans. read more

The most accommodating service around!!! They managed to shuttle eight of us around for a wedding. Every driver was more than pleasant and made our trip even better. Used to use them to get to and from the airport. Called today to set up a pickup for someone arriving at Wilmington Airport this upcoming Saturday at 7:20 pm who needs to get to Topsail. Phone goes to voicemail and announcement directs the potential customer either send a text to that number or an e-mail and provides an e-mail address. The announcement warns to not leave a voicemail because they are not checked. I leave a detailed text with date time and flight number. An hour and a half goes by and I've heard nothing so I send another text asking for them to either text or call me. After another hour and twenty minutes with no communications from them I call the number again. This time a woman answers. I explain why I'm calling and reference the original text, to which she responds, "oh yeah, about that. We don't do airport runs after 7 o'clock on the weekends." I asked her for some ideas about how to get my wife home from ILM as I'm going to be out of town when she arrives. Her response was, "well, I guess she could just get a cab at the airport." Great. Thanks. For. Nothing. And thanks for not getting back to me. The heart of the matter is that they are down to three drivers on the weekends and have all the business they want/need shuttling partiers to places like Gilligans and The Trailer Bar. Started calling cab companies and all were $20-25 higher on average than what Island Taxi's voicemail announcement quotes from ILM to Topsail Island. Fortunately found an airport taxi service who would make the trip for the same $65, and the man couldn't have been more helpful over the phone (knew to ask for my wife's flight info). Island Taxi would be a great convenient service if they could make it work, but they can't, just like last summer when they mysteriously disappeared off the planet. If a transportation business isn't reliable it is just a waste of time and a cause for aggravation. Done with these people for good. read more

Great local company. Friendliest drivers you will ever find. Keep in mind you are on vacation in a small town. Don't expect fast service like the cities you come from. If you expect that vacation in myrtle. They will get there as soon as they can. It's a very large island with people going from one end to the other. Relax... you are at the beach. Enjoy. read more
