My husband and I walked into their store this morning and was approached by a woman working there who told us that we could not be inside shopping unless we put a mask on. We politely put down the clothing that we would have purchased and left the store. We do not plan on ever returning to your store! Island trends has no right to ask this of us! Do Not Buy from this Company. There nothing but rip off business. I ordered a Tommy Bahama Shirt a size XL they sent Me a XXL. The Tag on the shirt said XL, but the Shirt tag that is sown on the shirt said XXL. I asked for them to send me the right size. i did not ask for a refund. They sent me a usps return label and i returned it. They refunded me, but not the full price and it was there fault.. Never Again will i buy from Them. read more

There is a reason why all the reviews are awful and it's 100% warranted this company TERRIBLE. They say to send an email and you don't get a response until 7-10 days later. If you leave a voicemail it's even worse. Had a gift card sent to the wrong address they never even responded to where it was being sent. Even thought there were many negative reviews I decided to give Island Trends a shot for a Tommy Bahama shirt. I have placed two orders in the last month the first time using a 30% percent off coupon and the second time over the Labor Day weekend using a 40% off coupon for one item. Both coupons were accepted while placing my order on line. I received both orders (live in California) within two day. Great prices, selection, and fast delivery. The person who answered the phone was incredibly helpful and checked inventory on every single shirt I wanted to assure me they were all in stock. She was polite and friendly, and very informed. I placed the order and crossed my fingers. I needn't have worried. Everything arrived in perfect condition and on time in just two days. All the items are absolutely perfect. It was an easy wonderful experience. So I decided to order several more items online this time. Again, everything went so smoothly with all the items arriving in just two days and it is all perfect. I have been doing limited business with this store for quite some time. By "limited" I mean only items (mainly embroidered shirts) that are hard to come by. Even then, I almost always wait for a discount code. The other reviews are quite harsh and I can see that a lot of the complaints have to do with the web site which has a lot of issues. Since I have done a lot of business with them I have learned (for the most part) how to maneuver and get the results needed. One thing I do not like is their shipping policies and the offer for orders over $95 but if you use a coupon and the order dips below they charge..... I have not had any issues with the wrong sizes or items being incorrect. And, have not had challenges getting ahold of anyone when needed. This is first a "brick and mortar" store with an internet sales function which has to be understood to assess their offerings. Could they improve - sure. Are they as bad as some of the other reviews claim? Not in my experience. read more

I placed an onine order with this company for 2 shirts for over $200. I didn't end up needing one of the shirts. I spent weeks trying to reach the company by phone, but was unable to get through to anyone, or leave a message. Finally, I was able to get a hold of someone months after the purchase and I was told by a "manager" that I was unable to return the shirt that I paid over $100 (not even for a store credit) for because it was a "final sale" item and outside of their return window. And really... they give you 2 weeks to return an item? Most companies give you 30 to 90 days or more! This company does not care about it's customers! read more

I have bought numerous Nat Nast shirts and tommy Bahama and they send the wrong sizes and expect me to pay to return the stuff that they have mispackaged. If you try to get a hold of them they will not return your phone calls. When I stopped payment they finally reached out to me and then continued to lie in order to cover up there screw ups. So everyone knows a Nat Nast Shirt is 155.00 dollars. Nat Nast sizing is done in two different ways. Maybe you can find my orders. I have been a member of this community for five years and you are only my second complaint. I have been a repeat customer for years. Unless you are catching a sale. And after my last shipment received that is no longer important to me. There is absolutely no reason to shop with this business. The customer service is non-existent. They ship expensive items as if they're shipping a $5.00 tee shirt. My last order of Olukai Haipo Sandals were shipped in a BAG WITHOUT THE BOX. They looked as if they had already been worn. That is beyond triffling and the second and last time it will happen to me. If you complain you'll never get a response. As others have stated on other complaint sites. They just don't care. Terrible experience with this online retailer. Purchased a Nat Nast shirt and was told online that the item was available for immediate shipment and they charged my card. The email I receive from them the next morning indicated it was temporarily out of stock and that it would be available to ship from them the following Friday. Friday came and went with no further update from them. I had to constantly chase them down about the status of my order, and after two more delays I cancelled it and had them refund me. They are not straightforward about the availability of their products. Your experience with this retailer will likely be frustrating and infuriating; make sure you don't need the item with any kind of urgency if you do buy from them. read more

I ordered several items from Island Trends about a month ago with free 2 day shipping over $95. Items were received as described, however, took several calls and 9 days to arrive. Ok sometimes there are issues and a store can make mistakes. I ordered more items last week and paid for 2 day shipping but after calling and speaking to Lauren today (6 days later) she said the items still had not been shipped. Ordered a shirt that was on sale and returned it because the color was different from the color on their website. They deducted $5 for return shipping from my store credit. When I tried to purchase another shirt, the system would not show my credit. I was then going to be charged another $12.02 for shipping of a different color of that shirt. Tried calling Customer Service multiple times for a week. It always went to voice mail. I left a voice message but did not receive a return call during that week. The day after I posted the above comments, I received a call from Chris at Island Trends. That timing may have just been coincidental. He helped me apply my credit torward the purchase of another shirt. I just received my purchased shirts. I was very appreciative of Chris's responsiveness. Chris was very helpful. When ordering from Island Trends, please keep in mind that if you return a "sale" item, as I understand it, you get a store credit, not a refund. Also, at least $5 gets deducted from that credit for return shipping. read more

Super slow shipping, Worst customer service (simply do not respond to customer contact), False advertising, the advertised a 20% for first time orders, but the website order process does not provide for a discount. Then they only provided a 10% discount and after repeated requests, simply canceled the order. I would avoid this merchant at all costs. I had a great experience purchasing from IslandTrends.com. I order the product on Sunday night and received it Thursday morning. It was quick and easy and the prices were great. The only drawback was I had a question about my shipping and billing address being different and inquired if that would delay the delivery. They did not respond, but I believe they did not need to because the shirt was shipped just a few hours later. read more

Horrible customer service. I will never purchase another item from this business again! I've had two situations where I experienced manufacturing defects and the store hides behind their 14 day return policy. The lastest example is a Bugatchi golf shirt that had stained the first time I wore the shirt (perspiration). Since I hadn't worn the shirt within the 14 day return policy they basically said too bad. This was clearly a manufacturers defect. If you buy anything from these people be sure to wear it right away because they won't do anything for you if you have a problem with one of their purchases. read more

Horrendous experience with the online customer service department. I would not recommend shopping from this site ever given the poor service I received. I ordered something on black friday with their promo of free shipping and 10% off. On cyber Monday I received an email saying "get $50 off your $100 purchase". I called but could not get through so I sent an email and left a message. I called again that Wed and spoke with a rep who was very lovely and said it should be no problem to do a price adjustment but she just needed to confirm with management. Well, she called back and said it was not possible as the item I ordered in my size was not in stock on Monday. Hmm. That does not make sense to me. Then she switched to say that the brand was excluded from the promo which was not true. She became very unfriendly and awkward and would not do anything to help me. I was left with a bad taste in my mouth clearly but I really wanted the item, so I kept the order. Fast forward to 12/16, I still had not received shipping notification and once I called to check in, it turns out that the items were damaged and now out of stock. The same woman answered my call and apologized that I was never notified that my item was unavailable. So basically, they were ok with charging me and never shipping a product. It's really despicable to receive such bad service especially when you know your customers are ordering for the holidays. With so many choices in places to shop, there is just no excuse for bad service. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I would give Island Trends no star if it was the choice on yelp!.. I order 3 pair of shoes an it took 4 weeks to get to my house. They lied to you that it will be ship in 2-3 days if you order more than $95. It won't ship until 3-4 weeks later. They don't have any shoes in stock! They have to order them and then ship to you later. Especially, they use the cheapest shipping method possible. It will never be deliver to you. The worst of the worst i ever experience. Uh oh......not a good experience! Mid April I ordered 2 pair of Fit Flop boots at what sounded like a great deal and also showing as "In Stock". My AMEX was charged same day as order placed and then the wait began. Nothing ... nothing....then a phone call to say the Size 10s were sold out but the 9s would be shipped immediately. Charge for one pair credited back. Waiting - waiting - until today: Another call to say sorry the item is no longer available. They have had the use of my money for about 6 weeks. Typically, charges are not incurred until the ordered item is shipped. I consider myself to be a savvy online shopper but, in this instance, I am suspicious of Island Trends' ethics and business practices. Needless to say, I am a very unhappy customer. read more
