They have done a great job saving a lot of the city but there's so much more work to do still, to ensure that the future generations get to visit Dai Loy Museum too. I believe this museum and town was on a series of Ghost Hunters or Ghost Adventurers? Some show like that. This museum was in that episode and I found the stories to be so interesting. I watched the episode after visiting, and out of all of the museums we walked through, this was the spookiest! The inside is very well preserved, you really feel like you walked back in history. The floors are warped, so maybe that made me dizzy to an effect? You cannot go upstairs and it's quite dark. When we visited, there was an owl upstairs who added to the creepy factor. The only room that made me uncomfortable was the money room personally. Please consider visiting and supporting the open businesses here. The gift shop and Al the Wops were open. The two thrift stores were cool to walk through but held nothing of interest. There's many cute cats who run around and mature fruit trees. I think about the people who built this town and hope they eventually found happiness. Thank you so much to all of the people who built this country. The Chinese immigrants did so much and their stories deserve to be remembered. So many stories have already been lost or erased purposely. It's unfair to not also mention the Natives who lived here even before the Chinese and Japanese did. This land is rich in love and sacrifice from people who never got the true credit they deserved.

It's located in Micke Grove Park, which has a $6 parking fee on the weekends. Not sure about regular admission but Festival of Trees was $15 per person. The grounds have a museum and then several outer buildings that have old farm equipment and other artifacts of the San Joaquin valley and Delta area. For the holidays, everything was festively decorated and there were food and craft vendors. It was a fun little event that harkened back to a simpler time. Nicely kept grounds and a well run event. Interesting to see and read about the history of the area, as well. Not sure if it's worth going on a non-event day, but if you're interested in the history of the area, then check it out. I had a pleasant afternoon checking out their holiday event.

WOW has always been a favorite for our family, but this event really brought the whole community together. The museum was full of energy with kids running from activity to activity, experimenting, building, and just having fun learning without even realizing it. The raffle baskets were fantastic and way bigger than I expected. You could tell local businesses and supporters really showed up for this event. There were vendors set up, tons of hands on activities throughout the museum, and yes, free popcorn which automatically makes any kid event a win. What I love most about WOW is that it never feels overwhelming or overly structured. Kids are encouraged to explore, touch everything, and be curious. You can easily spend a few hours here and still not see it all. It is such an important space for downtown Lodi and a great reminder of how valuable places like this are for families. Fun, educational, and genuinely community-driven. We had a blast celebrating with the WOW museum!

This museum is directly across the street from UCD's visitor and conference center on one side, and the campus concert hall (wine-named Mondavi Center). High-tail it over to the museum and keep your wallet in your pocket -- it's free. It's 30 minutes or so you won't mind giving up. A fun mix of modern art that is always changing, so i won't date my review here. At the very least, it's a beautiful space with some thought-provoking installations every time I'm in town. I believe there's some kind of rule that all the artists have some connection to UC Davis. Davis hates cars, so the adjoining parking lot is about $10, during the week only. Weekends? Cars galore, no charge. Inspiring!

It's a wonderful resource for the area and a very important part of the community. Haggin Museum sits right in the middle of Victory Park. It's a beautiful, serene, green setting with flowers and a little pond and you feel safe here, even though you're in Stockton. It's a great place for kids to come and play and for people to sit and enjoy nature. Inside the museum there is a mix of art and local history. They have Gold Rush era exhibits and recreated period rooms. There are lots of lovely paintings here and although I believe some of the artwork is always here, they regularly have rotating exhibits as well so there is always something new to see. They also have a lot of activities, events and family programs here. It's definitely dated, but that's to be expected for as long as this place has been around. It's affordable though because kids under 10 get in for free and I believe the last time I was here admission was between $5 and $8. They also have a free admission day every first Saturday of the month but it gets really busy so I don't typically visit on that day. It's really great for kids though, and I'm so glad that we have this resource locally. I have lots of great memories of bringing my son and my nieces and nephews here and being a kid here myself. I definitely recommend a visit if you have kids under 10 and want to spend a day educating and enriching them on a budget. Plus they can play at the park after so it will make for a fantastic day.

They had a nice selection of art from America and Europe. Memorable pieces included ones from the Barbizon School and Also the impressionists. The Renoir in the collection was on loan to the Morgan Library but it was nice to see paintings from noted artists like Hassam, Bérard, Lhermitte, and Bierstadt. I enjoyed reading about the industry in Stockton's past and also how the Haggin Museum came about. I spent around 1-1.5 hours there. The neighboring park is a delight too with a pond, pool and basketball courts.

We especially liked the first responder vehicles that we could climb in (with uniforms, too!) and play with. More favorite places included the pretend grocery store and the water course area where we could use panels to change the flow of water to see how the currents are affected when we raced little boats.
