I felt bad for them and let them go ahead and install it (didn't even offer a discount on their mistake by the way) Wow, I made a big mistake! Not only has the glass warped over the past year, but the door latch broke a few months after they installed the door. They replaced it. I called again because it had broken again and was rudely told that my warranty had been out for two weeks and they would charge me almost $200 to replace a five dollar latch. You would think after spending $4000 and my aunt had recommended them and she had spent $10,000 on her doors, that they would come out and replace that latch for no charge since it was their faulty merchandise. The Customer Service is not there with Macklin doors. If I could do it all over again, I would have NEVER ordered from them! My aunt is appalled that I was treated in this way and we have both decided to never give a recommendation for this company and their doors again. Whomever is in charge of their customer service is doing a dismal job and they need to be let go. They were willing to lose us and others as customers over a cheap four dollar lock AFTER I had accepted the wrong door in order for them not to lose money!!! The glass will always warp and there's only a one year guarantee on that, the latches constantly break because they are using cheaper locks now to save themselves money. The chances of you getting the wrong door delivery is great. The Customer Service there is lacking in every aspect of what Customer Service should be!

We paid extra for laminated glass security door. Supposedly, it would be hard to break or crack a laminated glasses - that's what the salesman said. The door was installed Sept 2024. We saw a crack last week and immediately informed him. Thinking that it's the manufacturer flaw and maybe he could contact them for us. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. He claimed a rock must have hit it from mowing the grass. Giving him a benefit of doubt, I told my husband to remind him that it's LAMINATED glass, not the regular kind. Disappointed again, the salesman wants $800 for replacement. Didn't even want to stop by our house to take a look. We are 2 minutes drive from his office. For clarity, our front door is blocked with bricks on both sides. There is no grass in the front of the door for the rock to hit during mowing.

I picked colors and everything, then he came out to the house and again, several times i noted i didnt want blinds with the strings to pull them up. So he measured and sent me a quote And I said OK great. I think I made some change with the style or the color and he sent me the quote again and I approved it. come to find out on installation day he installs all the blinds and they all have strings (!!!!). and when I bring this to his attention he's like, "well you approved the quote, i gave you what was listed on the invoice," and I'm like, "l but I told you several times I don't want Blinds with strings on them. So you send a quote with details that the average person doesn't know what all the abbreviations mean. and the first quote you sent me Had blinds that did not have strings on them, so why would you update the quote and add strings AND NOT COMMUNICATE THIS CHANGE CLEARLY TO ME and explain why you made such a change?!?! and his response was, "oh I was trying to save you some money." so I warn you, if you want to use this guy you better read every single detail and get him to clarify and reaffirm what you want because he seems to think that he can make a design decision based on the what he thinks you want vs what you ask for Because "he wants to save you some money" but he doesn't communicate that to you at all through the process. He reinstalled the blinds and I paid the difference in cost because the ones I wanted were a bit more expensive. And he acted like he was doing me this huge favor by re-ordering the blinds and installing what I wanted even though the error initially was his. And yes I didn't catch it on the invoice because there's all the abbreviation and what have you and why would you change the invoice and not tell me that something that I repeated to you several times I don't want XYZ you added on an invoice and don't tell me?? Such unbelievable arrogance by this guy and seriously I do not recommend you use him. This occurred over a year ago and I'm only now able to explain it without losing my cool. Worst customer service experience ever.

During COVID, Kevin kept open and honest feedback about the installation time frame. He touched base with his vendors, confirmed tracking information, and sent several emails to keep me informed. He personally arrived back at my home to install the window treatments. Kevin did not have a separate install team because he wanted to ensure that his expectations and my expectations were met. NOW, for the all-star customer service story. After several weeks, one of the blinds began to sag. Without hesitation, Kevin ordered a replacement blind, kept me informed on the new installation timeline, and replaced the blind in question. Memphis is a working town- many people work at various hours of the day/night. If you need a blackout room for day sleeping, Kevin has the technology and expertise to make it happen. For my first time going through this process, I can certainly say he set the bar high. He will always be my go-to window treatment guy in the Memphis area. He put the windows in, but didn't finish putting in all the parts to the windows. He said he would bring the parts for the windows and as of today he is now ignoring my calls. When walking on my floor there is a drop due to the uneven foundation. The concrete foundation is an extremely sloppy job with excess concrete in my grass and on the foundation. He destroyed my gutter work on my house. The electrical work was not correct, he lied about having a permit pulled. I called and it was never pulled. I had to hired my own electrician to fix that messed up job. With all those issues, I had to basically start the entire job over and lost approximately $10,000 on the start of a very sloppy job.

Mr. Juarez first encounter with my mother was the 04 Jun 21, he charged $14,469.00. He was paid $6500.00 up front by my mother per the invoice provided. It has taken him approximately 3 months and the driveway is unfinished and is already cracking and falling apart. He requested several payments from my mother during this time stating that he needed to pay his workers. In all my mother has given him over 12,000.00 to date. During the course my mom and I texted and  called trying to reach Mr Juarez to see when he was going to complete the work.  When he did show up he requested more money from my mother each time. On 31 Aug 2021, he contacted my mother and said he wanted to speak with her and I knew he was going to ask for more money and guess what he did,but this time I was there ( he was unaware that I was standing just a few feet away)and heard the predatory tactics of Mr. Juarez requesting more money for a treach he had dug beside the driveway a week prior. He did not get permission from my mother prior and now he is asking for more money. At this point I severed all ties with Mr.Juarez and have hired another contractor to re-do what he was paid for. I will be seeking legal counsel against Mr.Juarez.
