We bought a front door that was over $4000.00. When they brought it to our house, it was the wrong door. It was full open glass, and the one I ordered only the top part was glass. I felt bad for them and let them go ahead and install it (didn't even offer a discount on their mistake by the way) Wow, I made a big mistake! Not only has the glass warped over the past year, but the door latch broke a few months after they installed the door. They replaced it. I called again because it had broken again and was rudely told that my warranty had been out for two weeks and they would charge me almost $200 to replace a five dollar latch. You would think after spending $4000 and my aunt had recommended them and she had spent $10,000 on her doors, that they would come out and replace that latch for no charge since it was their faulty merchandise. The Customer Service is not there with Macklin doors. If I could do it all over again, I would have NEVER ordered from them! My aunt is appalled that I was treated in this way and we have both decided to never give a recommendation for this company and their doors again. Whomever is in charge of their customer service is doing a dismal job and they need to be let go. They were willing to lose us and others as customers over a cheap four dollar lock AFTER I had accepted the wrong door in order for them not to lose money!!! The glass will always warp and there's only a one year guarantee on that, the latches constantly break because they are using cheaper locks now to save themselves money. The chances of you getting the wrong door delivery is great. The Customer Service there is lacking in every aspect of what Customer Service should be! read more

Jason Maclins is a really good businessman and salesman. He will answer your text messages after hours and off days. For that we were happy to do business with him at the beginning. We paid extra for laminated glass security door. Supposedly, it would be hard to break or crack a laminated glasses - that's what the salesman said. The door was installed Sept 2024. We saw a crack last week and immediately informed him. Thinking that it's the manufacturer flaw and maybe he could contact them for us. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. He claimed a rock must have hit it from mowing the grass. Giving him a benefit of doubt, I told my husband to remind him that it's LAMINATED glass, not the regular kind. Disappointed again, the salesman wants $800 for replacement. Didn't even want to stop by our house to take a look. We are 2 minutes drive from his office. For clarity, our front door is blocked with bricks on both sides. There is no grass in the front of the door for the rock to hit during mowing. read more

There is a viewing area to get a look and feel of a variety of doors. The representative we spoke to was very nice and explained the selection, delivery, and setup process. I like that you are able to get a visual and a feel, and they also have literature to take home to go into detail about additional designs, colors, sizes, glass choices, and how the process works. I purchased windows for my home from Maclins in April 2019.I noticed that in the mornings that the windows would fog up with condensate and notified Maclins .I was told by Maclins that the problem would eventually go away as here is a quote from Maclins"Trust me. I freaked out when all my new windows did it as well. It usually happens if there is a flower bed outside the window. But it's hundred percent normal. It will eventually go away. "It is now September 2020 and the windows still fog up.I contacted Maclins again and was more or less told the windows are going to condensate and there is nothing we can do for you.So I guess to sum it up if you want windows that you can't see out of in the mornings buy them from Maclins.I feel the problem with the windows condensation in the mornings should have been disclosed at time of purchase but Maclins thinks not read more

I suppose this company only keeps records of satisfied customers, because even though we have a bill from them they conveniently don't have record of servicing us. They came and installed a door but did not take into account the wood that the door would be attached to. Instead of taking measurements and making sure the door would shut properly they decided to do a shoddy job. Now our door will not shut properly due to wood naturally expanding in certain weather conditions. When we contacted them about this they said they could come out and fix it for $90. So we could pay more money for them to come out and fix their mistake. The door we had before this one shut properly in ALL weather and we only got it replaced because the door handle was broken. Their customer service has not wanted to take responsibility for this service or even acknowledge us as customers with them. Bad service will happen, but when you just totally disregard that you even worked with that customer, that is just petty and bad business. If you want to keep the 'good' family name just take responsibility and fix your wrongs and own up to it. So this company is great if you they actually serviced you right they'll definitely take the credit for a good job done, but if you get someone to install your door and does a crap job they will act like you never existed and that they never even came to your house and installed the door. Just make sure the person you get does a good job or else you will be in the same boat I am in..with a door that shuts properly 20% of the time. Also with speaking to customer service they have been rude and dismissive on the issue. This whole process has left a sour taste in my mouth.
