Then they take your credit card just in case your insurance does not pay in full. I HAVE NEVER had this happen at any other health care facility. They give you a buzzer which is what keeps you updated through the surgery wait. The buzzer makes it easy for them to discretely let you know that you are needed at the front desk for an update. Normally I am a germaphobe but this hospital was so clean (at least on the surgery side) that I had no issues with feeling like I was covered in germs. The inside is well lit, especially after the sun comes up. There are plenty of plug in outlets for phones or other technology. Lulu's Cafe has some great food that is not overpriced. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was huge. I was full for over half the day. The cafe offers a lot of different options. There is an older gentleman named Paul who walks around asking if anyone needs anything or has any questions. He was there when we went in for post op and there when we were waiting for the surgery. It's nice to have someone to offer assistance when you are stressed, waiting during a loved ones surgery. The short stay rooms are clean and the nurses are very understanding and kind. My girlfriend ended up being the last patient on the hall but they never got pushy. They let her wake up and accomplish her goals to leave as she felt like she could. They are very attentive. If they tell you they will be back in ten minutes, they will be back in ten minutes. Everyone was friendly from the front desk employees to the nurses and anesthesiologist.
