She does run on time. At least that was my experience. I had to have an endoscopy, which she performed, and she was wonderful before and after the procedure. I was so nervous, but again, she has such a wonderful bedside manner, and she put me completely at ease. She discovered my issue and put me on antibiotics which cured me completely. I don't exactly "want" to have to see her again, but in the future when I need a G.I. doctor, it will be her that I see. I also have that dreaded colonoscopy to look forward to in just 5 more years (yep, I'm giving away my age!).

After a year in his "care", we are absolutely no closer to a resolution with my dad than we were when we first saw him. He never kept his word, and he allowed my dad to leave the hospital last weekend without any answers whatsoever. He never came to see my dad before discharge, although he promised he would, so we still have no inkling as to the etiology of my dad's symptoms. And now he's home from the hospital for two days, and he's suffering again, with the same symptoms. Don't insurance companies vet these imbeciles? I read the other guy's review, and I'm happy for that man. I really am. Maybe McKinley is over-subscribed? Perhaps. But he should know when that's true, and he should be humble enough to express his limitations to his patients, and to whomever else he answers to. I have never been more disappointed in a specialist. McKinley absolutely holds the crown of "worst doctor ever".

Dr…read more Riner took me as a patient with Crohn's Disease and GAVE...Not only was he extremely comforting and reassuring me that we can get on top of both diseases and get it under control. I was very concerned as I did not know about GAVE (Watermelon Stomach) and what causes it and what can be done. Dr. Riner took me as a patient and felt that with both diseases affecting my stomach and colon I should further see a specialist and has been very proactive on getting me to a clinic in Orlando. I had a colonoscopy performed by Dr Combs. As is customary, the physician comes in to tell the…read morepatient what he/she found but Dr Combs never bothered to see me. I waited a full hour after leaving the recovery room. I was told he was dictating, then was told he went to his next procedure. He didn't have an emergency, he never told any of the staff (who kept checking) that he would be in to see me. He just didn't think I was important enough or any questions I had or the fact I had been fasting 24+ hrs was worth his time. The staff felt bad and knew I saw other Drs coming in to talk to their patients so they gave me information on the condition Dr Combs found on my procedure and agreed I could either continue waiting or leave. I called Dr Combs office pretty upset over his negligence to see me. Dr Combs called a few hrs later and tried to say I didn't wait that long, etc. So, maybe he should continue to prioritize dictating reports while he still has patients - there are too many good gastroenterologists to bother with Dr Combs.

We arrived about 10 minutes earlier, signed in and waited. There was a waiting room full of patients as well as spouses. We waited from 0920 to 1140 AM before my wife was taken in for her procedure. We understand there was only one doctor, out of the six [6] on staff as noted with their pictures in the lobby. There were seventeen [17] patients scheduled according to the intake person. This practice only cares about their appointments, how much money they will make and nothing about the rest of the people waiting around for HOURS. We have to wait and be happy about paying for the privilege of waiting to be served. My perception is that this practice does not value the patient's time, only theirs. If they could schedule properly there is no reason to have people waiting over two [2] hours to be admitted and prepared for their procedures. When we left the last patient was coming out of procedure and this was at one-twenty [1:20] PM. It is absolutely unnecessary to have people stacked up in a queue in the waiting area if they knew how to properly schedule their procedures. They want the patient at the ready for their own convenience. Therefore, the patient MUST wait to accommodate the practice. Seems to me that the tail is wagging the dog. Apparently, they do not. This says a great deal of how this practice perceives their patients.

But the communication is absolutely awful. They have a 3rd party out of the country answering service connected to their phone lines. So any advice nurse or communication that needs to be done with doctors is impossible. There is no online portal, only this awful phone line. So if I have a question about medication or anything I have to ask someone and have been given medical advice from someone who is in India and is doing everything they can to avoid transferring my information directly to the office.
