The yoga offered at Yogaraum is exactly the sort I was looking for--physically demanding, but also with some meditation and breathing exercises. There was no pushing of any agenda or philosophy, but they did place a great emphasis on good technique--which is important for avoiding future injuries, and made me feel more safe and confident in my practice. The adjustments and advice were always very helpful. I also never felt like I was being pushed too far, just directed to the best way to reach my limits. It is also very practical how often yoga lessons are offered--even if your schedule is busy or changing, you can choose to come to a morning or early or late lesson. The variety of instructors is also nice, as they each have their own strengths and preferred focus and poses. I wholeheartedly recommend Yogaraum for anyone looking for a Power Yoga class in Hamburg.

It can be a bad experience when you consider wanting to have room to find your chakra but finding it hard to turn sideways without slapping your neighbor across their face or inch onto their yoga mat while doing a leg stretch. The positive points I can quickly mention are that they have lessons taught in English for all the expats living in Hamburg and also they have more variety in types of yoga offered so if Bikram bores you with its intense heat or same poses every time, then one might enjoy Power Yoga a bit more.
