Nassima is absolutely first-rate. I came in with a long piece of fabric for a chair that other tailors had tried (but failed) to fix, and Nassima bought a new piece of fabric and created a perfect replacement for my old fabric -- and she repaired the old one as well! Hem of pants and taper of a tank top and skirt; $35 for hem, $35 for skirt taper, $15 for tank top taper...so this is how you take advantage of a college student? $85 for 3 simple items? I'm a guy and I know that's probably double the going rate! So, my UD student daughter dropped off these three items today and left with a surprise due on receipt bill obviously raking the students that use this Main St establishment. I'm so glad I found Italo's! I bought a pair of really nice camouflage colored cargo pants a few months back and when I put them in the dryer after wearing them the first time, one half of one of the snaps on the pockets broke in two. Fortunately Dan at Italo's was able to salvage the snap and fix my pants, which was a relief even since they don't make those pants anymore. The repair was done in ten days and only cost $5! if you are even remotely in the area and need a garment repaired, Italo's is the place to go! read more

I drive from Greenville to Newark to get my shirts tailored here. I simply have not been able to find the same quality of workmanship from anyone in Wilmington. Dan is just that good! I came here on a whim a few months ago to get a few shirts brought in on the sides, just picked up three more shirts today, and plan to come back again and again. Dan is really personable and has great recommendations re. what types of shirts to get and how to properly alter them. The price is very reasonable for the quality - $26 to bring in the sides and sleeves of one dress shirt. I can't recommend him more highly! Also, just FYI, the shop is on the 2nd floor above Brewed Awakenings. Just enter from the street as if you're going into the coffee shop, but instead of entering the shop on the left, go up the long staircase. read more

Dan Nguyen of Italo's tailor is a fantastic tailor. I am very happy with the work he did for me bringing a suit in. It fits like a glove.

Last year my wife took her wedding dress to Dan to alter prior to our wedding. He did an excellent job and she looked amazing in the dress. He was even able to show us the dress shop sold her a dress that had been previously altered. Again, Dan is expensive but he is worth it. If you want to use a discount tailor, I'm sure there are many other options. read more

I find it very hard to believe that there are no reviews for Italo's yet as this is by far the best tailor you will find in Delaware. Make sure your financial expectations are realistic before visiting as Dan is a true tailor and not a dry cleaner's seamstress that can move your buttons and mend small holes. It will run you about $80 to have a sports coat brought in at the torso and have the sleeves shortened but it is money well spent. I will be the first to admit that i experience a little "sticker shock" each time i go but not once have i had an issue nor have the alterations failed with time. I would say that the work is undetectable but thats not quite true as its often better quality than the original. If your going to spend $300 or more on a nice jacket or even more on a suit, do not think twice about in-house alterations even if they are free or discounted. Take your jacket or suit to Dan and you will never go anywhere else. read more
