Sorry but had a HORRIBLE experience. Clothes were not done at the time indicated (having been assured they would be BEFORE committing to dropping them off there). Work requested (and paid for) was not done. Person working there was apologetic, but when I said I now had a shirt I thought should be cleaned for free to compensate for the inconvenience, missed deadlines, and incomplete work, I was told no. This is after spending almost $200! I will NEVER go back. There are plenty of other options in the area. read more

I brought a two piece suit in for some dry cleaning action. I've had the suits for several years and they desperately needed a cleaning. I dropped them off Thursday afternoon, and the kind Asian lady told me it would be ready on Tuesday. I picked up my suit, and it was clean. The slacks were pressed. It's a great place to go. Oh my god! Where should I begin. I cannot thank Ann enough who's taken care of my coat like her own. I wore dark jeans while wearing my cashmere/wool coat, and it stained the my coat terribly. The lady who works here is an absolute pleasure, and I never really had a bad experience with this place. FYI, price point is a bit higher than other cleaners around (esp if you are used to a discount cleaner), I wouldnt go if you are trying to be frugal with dry cleaning $$. I had gone to cheaper stores in the past, but i learned that discount cleaners cut corners & actually shortens the lifespan of clothing. Also for articles that have lots of stains, turn around time may be longer than usual. They take their time with cleaning and inspection, so if you are in a hurry and need it back within 24 hours, set your expectation somewhat realistic read more

I was visiting my sister in Wilmington, and I happened to stop by this place. I dropped off my black winter coat along with some other items. When I went back to pick up my clothing, I was very impressed because my winter coat looked brand-new (I have a small maltese, and the coat was fur, lint, stain free.)! Very disappointed in the customer service at this cleaners. I brought a regular suit jacket in for cleaning. As it was my first time at this cleaners, I feel that I was profiled and swindled. I was quoted $18 for the jacket to be cleaned! (Told later that it was $5 extra for a rush fee, yet I did not the jacket for 2.5 days) After calling several (5) cleaners to compare price and what was defined as "rush", I discovered that I was swindled and taken advantage of. I took about 10 shirts and 3 pairs of pants here to be laundered or dry cleaned and pressed. Upon the return of the items, the worker showed me that some buttons had been broken on the sleeve of a shirt. She told me that just for this time they would fix it for free but that if it happened again they would charge me. Why should I be charged for their mistake? Also, when they repaired the buttons, they used inferior quality ones that did not match the other buttons. I was very disappointed with this business and their policies and will never return. read more

I've had multiple suits altered there, and their tailoring services are also very good. Garnet offers a discount if you bring your dry cleaning in on Wednesdays. I've been a long time customer to this place. I recently relocated because of a new job and tried out a couple of new dry cleaners around the area just to realize that the quality of service was not the same as Garnet Cleaners. Although it takes me 20 minutes to drive to Garnet Cleaners, I had to come back because there are no other cleaners that could match the quality. This dry cleaners does not only offer high-quality cleaning services, but the taylor lady also does a phenomenal job altering many different types of garments. I have happily used this cleaner for years, but my most recent visit was enough to make me look elsewhere next time. I dropped off a large load Wednesday morning to take advantage of their 15% off special, and was told to return Monday after 5pm. Monday afternoon when I arrived, I was told one item was not yet ready and to return Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon, I had to wait several minutes while the items were gathered and packaged, only to find after getting everything home that one item was pressed completely wrong, at odd angles and wavy lines, and will need to be redone. Then, on top of that, I got a call Wednesday morning informing me they had accidentally left one item out of the load I picked up. We now have to return a THIRD time this week. I will be finding a new cleaner after this mess. read more
