Because I don't tan easily and wouldn't want to try a tanning bed - with all of the scares about skin cancer my friend told me about spray tanning. I have to admit I was skeptical at first but a few days later I saw this spray tan company pitch on Dragons Den I thought let me try and see if they are in Ottawa. I found out they were so I sent them a message. I had a lot of questions. They reassured me about what the outcome would be and guaranteed me I would not be orange. Charlene emailed me instructions on how to prepare for my appointment which is basically wax or shave at least 8 hours before and exfoliate and shower right before my application. I was able to get my appointment the very next day and since I was ready when she arrived and had a perfect spot ready for her to set up she didn't waste any time. My appointment was at 6 and she was out by 6:25 leaving me to let my tan dry. She was very friendly and reassured me before the service. I needed it since I was nervous at first. The actual service was easy and she has the technique down pat that I'm not having to worry about any missed areas. Would def recommend spray tanning to any skeptic. Out of service beds still appear in their on line booking system. Mirrors have been removed from rooms (or not replaced when damaged). For the last year, they have not replaced light bulbs in the tanning rooms. Stay away.

I went into the spa to have an infrared sauna the young lady told me she would turn on the sauna so…read moreit would get hot for me and so I went out and came back in 15 minutes I told her I would be back at a quarter to the hour I came back and she was questioning me how long I wanted to be in the sauna and I paid $19 for 30 minutes and she kept asking me the same question about how long I wanted to be in the sauna and I said well let's do the 30 minutes and if I get too hot after 20 minutes I'll just get out and she said that was OK for me to do that and then she asked me the same question again about how long I wanted to be in the sauna and it was rather irritating and so then I was questioning her further about the time and how important it was and was I going to be wasting electricity if I say I want to do 30 minutes but I only do 20 minutes I was trying to understand why she was asking me the same question three times in a row then when she showed me the room with the sauna she was again asking me about the time and there was a blue button on a device on the wall that was to set the time and get everything started it yet it actually wasn't on ( the sauna wasn't hot ) she said well it shut off automatically even though she had heated it up but it wasn't hot so I just hit the blue button and said OK will let's just start it now then so it will start warming up again while I get undressed then I got in the sauna and it was not warm at all and there was a little screen in there (she never told me anything about that screen ) she said there was a light in there but you didn't really need the light since the screen kind of lit up the sauna anyway then I looked on the screen and there was a place for you to start the sauna so I finally got the sauna to turn on and the elements inside the wooden box were slowly getting warm but I mean really slow I'm sitting in there more than five minutes and I put my hand over top of those elements and there's hardly any heat coming off of them and some of them had no heat coming off at all it was just not working it wasn't getting hot so I got dressed I came out and I asked the lady if I could get a refund and then she had to call her manager to find out then she told me no a refund was not allowed and so then I wanted her to just get the sauna to turn on that maybe she could get it to get hot and I would wait and go in again once it actually did get hot and then she called her manager again and she was just flat out telling me that I wasn't going to get a refund and I wasn't gonna get to do the sauna which was very upsetting then I did talk to the manager the manager's name is Sarah and Sarah was telling me that I had to come back tomorrow or the next day and she was saying there's nothing wrong with the sauna and that the sauna has been working (but she's not there I'm just talking to her on the phone and I'm wanting her to just let me wait another 15 minutes while the sauna does get hot as I'm here now and I want the sauna now ) and even though I was raising my voice I wasn't yelling and screaming at the top of my lungs, yes I was upset (naturally I was upset) I just was logically wanting to figure out why can't I have the service if you're saying it's working (can't you guide the person who is working here to turn it on and figure out what's going on with it ?) anyway then she was just telling me that she wanted me out of the the establishment just while talking to me on the phone because I was upset ! so I paid $19 and I did not get my sauna and the lady at the front desk (her name is Vicky) she's a young girl and obviously we had major communication problems!!! yet to me this all seems really ridiculous and very illogical and I have been taking infrared sauna's since 2005 and in the last year I get regular infrared saunas in Rochester and Syracuse New York at Lumos and Saunacuse and the customer service there is completely different and also in Santa Fe New Mexico they have a place called TANO2 and the lady who works there I had no problem with and I had regular infrared sauna's when I was there last year

She was super nice and very kind she tried to help me save some money but unfortunately I don't live here and I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the promotions. The way it works here is that you don't pay by the minute you pay by the session you also can go how many minutes you want and the price difference does not change. If you live here and you are looking to come here very often I would suggest you go for the $59 a month membership that will include unlimited sessions a month but it is a six month commitment. To be honest with you it's a really good deal as you can go as often as you want and you can choose how many minutes you want as well. There is a catch you can only go 15 minutes maximum which is very much in general you don't need to go more as the beds Are very powerful and do the job very great. I believe the beds are super high end as they even have a face tanning section and lights for your body into separate sections attached to the bed it's very rare to find these nowadays but this place is super up-to-date and modern. are very powerful and do the job very great. On a few occasions, when my regular stylist wasn't available, Victoria cut and coloured my hair. I found Victoria to often be rude, unpleasant and rough with me and some other customers while not cutting and styling my hair properly. Therefore, I stopped booking my future appointments with her. Due to Victoria's behaviour, I can't recommend her to potential customers. I only have positive things to say about the other staff who are all pleasant and dedicated to giving their customers good results. Joe, the owner, is a great guy. He's always polite and welcoming customers when they arrive at his hair studio.
