Meatballs-3 of them and totally delicious (sauce too), three pizzas-regular (margherita), white with creamy garlic (tastes way better than it looked) and the pepperoni-jalapeño-hot honey and basil (winner). Once through the magical forest, you are greeted by a beautiful view of their vineyard and the rolling hills of the area. The staff was friendly. We chose to do a self guided wine tour with a flight of sweet and dry wines both $12 each (pictured). We found a quiet spot out on the back patio to enjoy our flights. We enjoyed the selected wines and service. We would happily return to try more.

A good red is hard to fine in the FLX which is not good news for my preference. Flatt Rock Wine Cellar delivers with spectacular reds. In addition to the great reds, there whites are very good as well. The personal service you get from David and his wife are second to none in the flx. The passion and enthusiasm they have for wine shows in there wines. You will love this small personal winery. This was our second trip here, this time joined there wine club, which is the most reasonable and realistic of any winery we have been too. Cant wait for the member event this summer.

Darla and David are not only winery owners, but wine students and wine lovers for many years. They learned a great deal about wine while living in France for several years. We visited Flatt Rock in early spring on an unseasonably warm weekend in April. We tasted wine in their small tasting room attached to their wine making barn. The building is modern and artistic in a simple way. It was my first time coming here and I suppose I had the expectation it would be like the other plays I'd seen in my life; your standard auditorium and sitting in darkness, alone to my own devices. Their motto is "bold, intimate, engaging", and I soon found out why as I walked back a hall which entered into a small theatre where the relatively small amount of seats were placed in such away around the room you had no choice but be part of the stage. What an experience. It was like someone was not only telling you a story, but acting it out for you... You personally. And they were so close they would all make eye contact with you from time to time making it more personal. I felt engaged and pulled along with the story. They move so fast and don't have time or a way to dim the lights and move props etc so it's interesting how creative they get... It's literally like daddy acting out a story to his children at some points, very sweet and special. You can tell the actors are having fun, and they did a splendid job!
