The staff and owner have been amazing. My two grand kids have been there for years and we have a 3rd on the way that is signed up. The kids are always telling me how much they like their teachers. They do a lot with the kids and involve the families. My grandson has taken a liking specifically to one teacher and she has been teaching him a 2nd language as it's much easier to learn when learning to speak. For over 3 years, my kiddos have been attending It's A Child's World, and let me tell you, it's truly been a comforting experience! As a parent, it's so hard to find the right person or center to care for our kids. I feel as if our family is extremely lucky to have found such a great center. The staff here isn't just staff; they are family. The owner, Dana, is so involved and heavy on good communication with parents. I have loved watching her pour her heart and soul into maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for the kids over the years. I must highlight the activities and events they organize because they are truly top-notch. Whether it's an outdoor adventure, a fun field trip, a creative craft session, or a themed celebration... The staff put a lot of thought and effort into creating memorable experiences for the children, and it's something we deeply appreciate. They put together monthly family fun nights at no cost to the families (such as going to a River Bandits game or renting out an entire movie theater!) to allow staff and families to connect at a higher level which I think is spectacular and I have never heard of any other centers doing this. I have had some troubles with my 4-year old's behavior, and they've always been quick to address any concerns or issues that arise, and they do so with empathy and understanding. There were a few weeks where I had to talk to his teachers every single day about it and we were able to work together and come up with specific solutions to help my son. After just a few weeks of both of us working with him the way we did, his behavior improved so much. Without the compassion they have, these issues we were having would have surly escalated. In essence, IACW is a second home for my babies. They've created irreplaceable bonds with their teachers and countless memories. There hasn't been a single day in over 3 years that my kids didn't want to go to IACW. I would highly recommend this daycare. read more

The owner/director Dana needs to learn how to speak to her employee. Yelling at employees in front of children is beyond disrespectful & very unprofessional. It's a very hostile environment. read more

This has got to be one of the worst day cares I have ever seen. The staff are completely apathetic and do the bare minimum for interaction with the kids. Problem children are allowed to continue their bad behavior there by rubbing off on other kids. My daughter decided she wanted to be a vegetarian and the direct door flat out refused to accommodate her in any way. She even went as far as to walk away from me while we were talking about it. I have never seen them check and ID or so much as look up when people come to pick up kids there is absolutely no checks for who children are leaving with. This seems like a big safety issue. read more

My grandson goes to it's A Child's world and absolutely loves it. He talks to all of the kids and tells the teachers goodbye each night. They are flexible with the hours that my daughters job changes and allow his hours to change as long as he is picked up by close. They have helped me and several other parent potty train our 2 year olds. If an issue occurs with the children they let all parties involved know. read more

I don't know what the Chris M is referring to. My son has been going to Child's world since he was 3. It is one of the best daycare centers in the Quad Cities. Their food is freshly made, and children are absolutely held responsible for their actions. My son has had one incident where he lashed out at another child and it was quickly dealt with and I was notified within the hour of the even happening. They are very helpful and willing to work with payments for both state and private pay. If there is any downfall it would be the cost (I pay $141 a week for my now 5 year old during the summer). However, My son has been to about 4 different other day cares in the QC and he has never liked it as much as Child's World. I love this daycare and I would absolutely recommend it to any parent in the QC area. read more
