She took her time to go over the history of IWC and showed me all of the collections before getting to the watch I wanted to try on which was appreciated. Earlier this week, I was in South Coast visiting another watch boutique window-shopping when I popped into the IWC Boutique. Coincidentally, I had been researching the Mark XX Green dial online but hadnt tried one on or seen one in person. Upon walking in I was greeted by Casey, a friendly and knowledgeable sales representative. We chatted about my small collection. He showed me the Mark XX and let me try it on. The watch's green sunburst dial was exquisite and the bracelet was incredibly comfortable. I wanted to see if they had the leather strap as well which they did but I wanted the butterfly clasp. He checked in back and confirmed they had it. I let Casey know that I wasn't planning on buying a watch that day but I wanted to come back later in the week to ensure it wasn't an impulse buy. He stayed in contact throughout the week checking in and coordinating for Friday. When I came back, Casey had the strap with butterfly clasp and the watch on the bracelet ready. He sized it for me, walked me through the features, explained the extended warranty, helped me register for the site and sent me on my merry way. He also introduced me to his manager Joyce- another friendly outgoing team member. It's so refreshing to deal with such friendly, professional and knowledgeable sales people...I can attest that not all the watch shops in this mall have the same vibe. I have stopped in this boutique numerous times wanting to try some time pieces on and potentially buying one. I was looking at the Mark XX or the Big Pilot. My goal is to own a watch from each of the watch manufacturers. During my numerous stops, the employees wouldn't even give you the time of day. They don't even acknowledge you or greet you. My wife has been along for the watch collecting journey and she says this store feels cold and very unwelcoming. Today, I stopped in and looked at some watches for about 20-30 minutes without anyone offering to help. I guess they don't want my business. read more

I visited the IWC Boutique in Costa Mesa firmly set on wanting an IWC Pilot after doing extensive research. I wanted to see the watch in person and get a feel for how it wore on my wrist. Unfortunately, no one greeted or offered to help me when I entered. While browsing, an Asian female staff member gave me an unwelcoming glare that made me feel uncomfortable and out of place. The overall attitude felt snobby and dismissive, which is unacceptable for a luxury boutique. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and instead of moving forward with the IWC Pilot, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I came on a whim, as I usually do when I buy watches, and came to see Joyce, who then handed me off to Keana. I am a collector so when I saw the Pilot's Watch Performance I thought to myself that I would just take a look. Keana was so friendly to me and my fiance and we felt so welcomed that I just felt good vibes buying the watch, which I did shortly thereafter. Service is always great here except that there are usually only 1 or 2 workers. So if there are other customers, then you just have to wait around. It's usually not a big deal, but they just aren't a high volume store. But the workers are very attentive and friendly read more

This place will give you all the attention when you go to buy a new watch but once you buy the watch if there's a defect or you need a replacement part good luck with that I have multiple IWC's and I will sell them all at that point I went to buy a strap for one of them it needed to be replaced I was told it's in stock It will take two days I was there Monday I was told It'll be ready Wednesday i didn't hear back from them I called Friday and they told me they never received it yet and they don't know when it's going to come the person on the phone told me it takes between 3 to 6 months maybe longer on Monday the manager called me being very defensive and attitude telling me they have customers been waiting for six months patiently and this is what I need to do that's their policy I never received the strap I bought it with a discounted price from eBay read more

In the market for a new luxury watch stepped in the store there were about 2 or 3 employees but no one offering to help or even an acknowledgment. One guy sitting at a table so I pointed at a display that contained 3 watches and inquired about one of the watch's price he immediately blurted out 13 thousand without so much as getting up. I asked him if he knew which watch I was referring to and told him it was the one on the far right and he corrects himself and says 4 thousand for that one. What great service... My son inherited a nice stainless steel IWC watch from his grandfather. I took it to IWC at the beginning of December 2012. Unbeknownst to me the store had just opened. It's a glitzy shiny atmosphere with lots of masculine high lifestyle accents (boating, aviation, automotive props). For $100 they offered to send it to Switzerland to have it checked out and get any estimates for work required. I didn't realize they sent it via hot air balloon (individualized to each watch). Unfortunately, with global warming the normal Gulf Jet Stream was subverted both coming and going travels of the hot air balloon. It took over four months to get the watch back. Noises of protest was met with grey gloved disdain. Not sure how long they'll last at this location. If you can go elsewhere for evaluations of your vintage IWC watch do it!. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars since its only one of 5 North American retail outlets for this amazing brand of watch. As an IWC watch owner, I am blown away by the craftsmanship and the design of all their watches. I am lucky to own a limited edition and so far have been impressed with their customer service- even if it's directly from Switzerland. I met Casey in this particular location and he was very friendly & knowledgeable about all models on display. While I didn't buy anything this time, I did enjoy the 10 minutes I was in the store. Friendly and attentive service. Detailed knowledge on the product line is a bit hit and miss- some staff really seem very knowledgable, others perhaps less so. Not an uncommon failing, though. While the boutique model seems to be leading to higher prices of acquisition, I think this may be balanced by greater retained value of the IWC pieces that I already own. IWC is proving to me, that they not only know how to make some of the best manufactured time-keeping instruments in the world, but also that they know how to execute on the retail piece in a "haute horologerie" & "in-house" way. My introduction to this boutique was via phone and text conversations when Casey. Casey is a true watch guy, and his passion for watches was an ideal gateway to the rest of the boutique team. My visit was hosted by Joyce (as Casey was in Switzerland for training - a good sign that IWC is investing in its people).
