If you are using him for a DUI, which is what I secured him for, he is just like every other attorney in this world. Full of himself and not very useful. I hired him for psychological assuage which worked to a good extent... but $3000? Nah. There are lawyers that could have done the exact same thing as him for a grand. Like many lawyers they take your money and try to do the very least possible time wise in your case. Understandable.. more per hour. . Whatever. What did he do wrong? 1)He told a white lie in court on my behalf in front of a judge. Don't appreciate that John keep your personal issues personal do not project them on your clients. 2)He was not going to proactively offer me any interaction with him unless requested.. ie. to watch my recording of my 'crime' he had to be prodded to schedule. What? 3) And the absolute most important reason to not retain this man is that he obviously does not understand the need to return phone calls. 4) Before I embarked on my DUI punishment he ensured me that the money paid to him would include any further needs through the end probation, should I need any assistance. That is not the case. I am waiting over a week for a return phone call regarding extension of probation due to Covid-19. Thanks John! (He also disregarded a previous call about a simple question on clarifying my sentence obligations.) I 100% believe as a first time offender of anything, ie never arrested for a previous crime of any sort that I would have been in the same exact boat as I am today if I would have represented myself and/or hired a cheaper lawyer. John is a solo atty so he doesn't have a dedicated secretary he works in a shared space with a share front desk so I always give time to return calls but it is 100% clear that he does not prioritize me, and I fear the same for others, once he has his money. He is also very, very good at making his DUI stats sound phenomenal (remember statistics can be crafted from data to show almost anything you want good or bad) He'll also tell you how he's engaged as a speaker around the country or world on how to get people out of DUI's. Buyer beware! It's a sad state of affairs with the never-ending, money making cycle of the law, the police and the lawyers. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!
