I found the analogue myspace... Read all about it ... this is a bar that nails it without the 'up close and personal' bollox of the rest of the in crowd Oslo locations Normally Oslo on a weekend is a human tsunami in all the 'place to be seen' bars. Reach for your backpocket and you are more likely to find your hand wedged in someone else's shorts/panties/lunchbox/ (delete as appropriate). OK, i get it, some people like the bar contact sport thing but i am more of a 'hey get your face out of my space' bloke so when I got the invite here and knew it was not on the hotspot radar i was keen to give it a go. I was not sure what to expect but more than happy with what i found. If anything this is more like those keller bars you get around Prague old town. You know ... a gated opening between two buildings and a wooden door just out of sight. Step inside, watch the step down and then all of a sudden you are below ground level and there are openings into different nooks and crannies with long wooden tables and benches for you to park your Maß (wiki it). The people here deserve credit for the toil they put in. If there was an award for perpetual motion then they are contenders. They were also good enuff to knock up an 'off menu' sampler for us because there was so much to choose from that we couldn't decide. What we got was Dim Sum, Edamame, skewered chicken meatballs, shiitake mushrooms, Korean pancakes & a tapas style potato. Asian fusion at it's best. We washed all this down with numerous bottles of sake and gallons of mendokusai which is so close to a caipirinha i challenge you to tell the difference. I was reluctant to write this review as I don't want everyone rushing here so keep it quiet OK ... i like myspace

Pretty chill place in the middle of Oslo. Love the cool atmosphere, the casual feel, and the good food. Would definitely be back! If you come in with a group of more than 2 or 3, be expected to wait for a bit to find a seat. Otherwise, you'll just try to squeeze in between others.:D

A Japanese gem in the heart of Oslo. Right next to St Olav's place, you'll found an intimate and cosy restaurant full of look-like Japanese medieval tapestries and ink illustrations. This peculiar ambiance attracts an arty and bohemian fauna that will savour Japanese delicatessen in the early evening and ends-up with sake the rest of the night. I even tasted there an excellent nuoc mam beer.

It was closed for the summer when I went there in late July to find some dinner. A bit hard to find but never got a chance to eat there.

The broth was a bit salty for my liking. Noodles were perfect, the size, the texture and firmness of the noodle was just how I like it. The meat was tender and melted in your mouth, the boiled egg yoke was overcooked. I like it when it's still soft. Gyoza was mostly meat, no veggies. Wouldn't order them again as I like my gyoza with more veggie and less meat. Service was quick. Parking is indoors, which is very advantageous for the cold months. Take the elevator up and you don't need to go outside! They share space with an Indian restaurant. There is a coat hanger and it's spacious. I would definitely come back here.

I like the texture of the ramen, tastes quite authentic, not the "make-believe" ones you get from most non-Japanese restaurants here in Norway. The ambience is rather quiet, but I wouldn't say its kids friendly or good for large groups of people. We ordered the spicy ramen (mostly likely spicy miso ramen, since the broth base is miso) and Tangi ramen, which has two pieces of fried chicken on top,m. However, the soup-base for the tangi didn't quite hit the spot for me. The price is average, around $15-$20 per bowl, which is a decent price in Oslo. Overall I like it and would come back again.

The appetizers were delicious as the dumplings were so juicy and tasty. I had gotten a Chinese meal (they offer various asian cuisines) that was strips of fried beef with onions, peppers, and carrots. It was really tasty, and had a unique flavor I had never had before. I wish there was a bit more sauce in this meal, and that the beer selection could have been a tiny bit better. Otherwise I had a great time!

We arrived at 5:30pm, without a reservation, and they were able to accommodate us, though mentioned they'd prefer we finish up within 90 minutes. The tables around us definitely turned at least once during our time there, so they're quite proficient with their service, handily ferrying people through their dinner and our the door, expeditiously. As for dinner, we started out with the prawn chips, which were as good as they ever are (and later, we learned are all pre-fried and stored in a large bin and simply portioned out with each individual order). My friend and I both then had our own bowl of hot and sour soup (one bowl could be shared by two people, if neither of you are particularly hungry). If you love spice, you'll love this soup. Good flavors, most definitely spicy (said as someone who loves spicy food). We then both had stir fried veggies (carrots, mushrooms, snapped peas, and baby corn) with chicken and prawns, in a brown sauce, which we both liked OK (liked, not loved). Overall, we thought it was all OK, and service itself was attentive and good, but we weren't wowed as much as we hoped we'd be. We'd likely explore another option rather than coming back, though truth be told, this place isn't necessarily bad. Just...OK.
