He then tried to talk me into tile and said the stuff I got was not good. Also, only cash. No credit. I do not have 16k of cash just laying around. There was a heavy layer of dust throughout the attached bedroom. Personal items--including jewelry, books, the TV, and bedding, etc. --were all covered. No protective coverings were placed on the stairs to the third floor bathroom, and both the contractor and his crew consistently walked through our home with their boots on. We now need to hire a professional company to clean the vents. We also encountered several unexpected additional charges throughout the project. While the workmanship itself was acceptable (a B), the lack of cleanliness and care for our home was extremely concerning (a D-). At the completion of the job the contractor also left two buckets of watery grout in our garage for us to dispose of. Instead he wanted to move everything around (except the toilet, because of drain location), and create a massive bathroom that would have made the bedroom, where it was expanding into, not even big enough to put a single bed. He left not even offering to provide other options in layouts or saying he would think about other options. I felt it was all about them making as much money as possible ($40-50,000) was stated. I should just have lit a match to the $50.00 consultation fee because it was the worst money I ever spent.

We were very disappointed in the job that was done and happened to ask Tye at JKL flooring, what he could do about it. He sent Shaun Mahoney to our house to take care of it. He was very timely neat and very efficient. He dug out all the grout between our tiny tiles and acid wash the floor and re-grouted it. It looks absolutely marvelous. We are so happy with it.
