We stopped in here today (7-23) a little after 3. They were able to take us at 4, which was nice. We had a lovely couples massage! We did the 30min because we had a dinner reservation at 5:15. It was back, arms and neck. Deep tissue. So amazing'!!! It was $70 plus $5 for using credit card. It's ok. It's so worth it!! We will be back. Highly recommend. They both did great. It pains me to leave bad reviews but I have to in this case because I'd hate for someone else to have the same experience. A few months ago I went in to get an hour long regular massage (not deep tissue). When I got in and got undressed I realized that the masseuse was going to be a man. I don't typically care as long as they're good at what they do but this gentleman was wearing a wifebeater which struck me as unprofessional. He proceeded with the massage, focusing a lot on my neck and shoulders. At one point he got so aggressive with my neck I kind of sat up to make him stop. I know I should've told him to stop when I felt the massage being very rough but I didn't realize how bad it actually was. When I left and got home my bf saw that I had bruises on my back. It's typical with deep tissue but like I mentioned earlier, this was a regular massage. I avoided the place like the plague for a month and then decided to give it another try. This time a woman escorted me into the massage room but when I got ready, the same guy came in. I told him to be more gentle that time and it ended up being slightly less intense but still unpleasant. I don't have a low pain threshold and get massages regularly but this experience was horrible. First of all, the ownership needs to give the customer the option of male or female masseuses. Like I said, I don't care but a lot of people have preferences and should not be ambushed. Second, the masseuse should be checking in with the customer and making sure they're not doing something that leaves actual bruises. Bottom line is this man is horrible and I will not go back as long as he's there. Go to Moonlight or Ali Spa if you want an actually good experience. read more

It was such a great massage for 60mins! My experience wasn't like a typical relaxing swedish massage feel but I felt so much better when i left! Here is the whole process- Walk in Within 5mins you are in one of the rooms to undress and lay face down 80% massage focused on my back and she checked if the pressure was ok There was some hot stone & hot towels involved For the last 10mins I turned around and she did some arms & legs massage Overall it was a great experience for the price reminded me of the massages I got in thailand/china. For the price that it is don't expect grade A service. They could be understaffed as they were by appointment only. They also just have the appts. On a piece of paper ‍ and phone # not even your name. I scheduled for an hour but everytime someone came through the door, the lady who was doing my massage would go to the door. Again for the price cant really complain. Got the job done and the knots out. If you drive I highly recommend Shanti Q in Fort Lee. I wish I still had my truck or they had one in Manhattan. What a hidden gem! If your looking for a no frills massage in Hoboken, this is your spot! The massage was excellent, the masseuse worked her magic on the knots in my shoulders. An unexpected surprise was hot stones!! Those stones really melted away my stress. The only downside is that each 'room' is separated by curtains. So unfortunately you hear a lot of background noise. Which doesn't provide the serene atmosphere you would expect during a massage. At a great price of $47 for a hour massage, I can ignore the noise distractions lol! Also, the rooms are clean ;) My advise before you go, make an appointment. They can be quite busy! I will be going back on a monthly basis as a relatively inexpensive treat for myself! I've been to this place a couple times and it's great but this last time was AWFUL. I told the lady who massages me that the hot stones were way too hot. So she waited about 10 seconds and then put them back on me. Still too hot but my body adjusted quickly. When I got home, I had these terrible burn marks from the hot stones along with some bruising. I always get a stronger pressure massage and it's never left me this bruised/burnt. read more

This place is great. I've been going here for years. My session just ended with Kelly, I could not speak more highly of her! It's been a while since my last visit. From what I remember there were rice paper sheets that separated you from the next customer. You could hear them next to you grunting when the masseuse hit a sensitive spot & you could even see their silhouette but now they've upgraded and have rooms separated by sheetrock. The first time I ever stepped foot in here I was hesitant (rice paper, no privacy!) but the massage far outweighed anything else if you can just tune it all out. Prices are great, only negative is when your lying there naked with oil on you it's a bit cold.. If you need to get some knots out, this hole in the wall is for you!! Here's why: First, the table is heated. During the session Lisa uses a variety of techniques: walking on back, oil and massage, pressure points and hot stones. She hits the muscle from all angles and finds every knot - visiting all major muscle groups twice. Truly therapeutic and relaxing. A 1 hour session is affordable ~$50 and she earns a healthy tip. She was squeezing my neck so absurdly hard -- she softened a little when I asked several times but still too hard. She pushed too hard on the back and too close to the spine with her elbow. The first time I came here I thought the pressure was too hard but I attributed it to being sensitive since I was sore from the gym so I gave it another try. The second massage I asked for light pressure and it was fine - nothing to write home about but worth the $40. The third time I asked for light pressure multiple times but nothing changed and had bruises on my shoulders and neck for a week! Very hit or miss experience.
