This was the third project J & J worked on for us. My husband and I met Jordan at a local home show. I was impressed by his responses to every one of my questions. When he came to the house to walk the perimeter with me, Jordan pointed out every issue that was a concern to me. He gave a good quote for wood repair work along with painting the clapboards back brushing the bottom edge of each board. The crew was efficient and knowledgeable and a supervisor is only a phone call away with eyes on the project from start to finish. Got several bids for total interior and exterior paint job of house. Jordan came out, very puntual, gave us a good and fair price. They quickly completed the job before we knew it. Unfortunately, it truly did turn out to be a "quicky" job. As we were replacing furniture, it was obvious that they skimmed over and failed to really paint the back of many doors, stairwells, trim work. The exterior rotten wood was supposed to be removed and replaced but they just painted over it. Called Jordan and he came back to review the problem areas and failure to address the rotten wood. He assured us that they would return and complete the job to our satisfaction. One crew came out to replace one section of trim around a window.........and that was the last we saw of them. I'd contacted J&J based on a recommendation from within our neighborhood. Jordan, one of the owners, came onsite, scoped the work to be done and provided comments and recommendations. We'd talked about everything from paint types, to colors, to the process, to his company being insured, to timing and various other topics important to a homeowner. His prices were competitive with others from whom we'd received quotes. All said and done J&J painted interior walls, ceiling - including tray ceilings, some doors and most of the trim. They power-washed and painted the exterior siding, shutters, and trim. They replaced some siding where I'd requested it and also some of the trim which they had found to be rotten - some of which was on top of the chimney underneath the chimney cap and about 35-40 feet off the ground. They also painted a two-story screened-in porch. Overall this wasn't a small job in my view so of course there were some challenges but Jordan stayed involved and was responsive to every inquiry and challenge. His crew was professional and courteous. I'd have no reservations recommending J&J to anyone needing this type of work performed. read more

Great paint job and wood working! 6 years ago I did my research and I chose J and J for the 1st job on my new house, the did great then, fast forward 6 years later, the sun was really doing a number on the house. I found my last contract, called them. The same person showed up to quote and we walked the home addressed everything started quickly and had a great crew that really took pride in doing the best job possible. As a general contractor myself I was really impressed with the process, supervision, detal, skill and follow through. I doing a few other projects and J&J will be my 1st call. You know once you're in contractor world you have to kiss a lot of frogs. Weeding through the lot trying to find a reputable, reliable, knowledgeable company is a challenge. If you need a painting service check out J&J Painting. We were looking to have the kitchen cabinets and a living room ceiling painted and received estimates from several companies (like 6 or 7). Every company we checked had wait times of several weeks, or a high prices, or other little red flags, except J&J Painting. Jordan Kozak, the owner, came out and gave us an estimate that was very reasonable and offered to start the job within a couple of days. Jordan is a man who knows his business. He was very informative and explained the whole process including what kind of Sherwin Williams primer and paint they would use on the kitchen cabinets, and why. I did a little additional research and found that his recommended type of primer and paint offered superior durability, at a commercial level, and was thus very well suited to withstand the kind of contact it would get in a home environment. I was glad to hear about that because, of course, kitchen cabinets get a lot of use. Impressed with the reviews, I wondered about the odor, but in fact, there was hardly any smell at all. The crew showed up on time and after a brief orientation by Jordan, they got to work taping off the area, covering things, and setting up a small spray area in the garage. Three days later we had updated kitchen cabinets that look fantastic. The ceiling turned out great as well. They moved the furniture, covered it and not a drop was spilled. They were polite, friendly, cleaned up every day, there were no messes, and on the last day they waited while I looked over everything to make sure I thought it was a job done right. The price was right, the customer service was excellent and the end result transformed the look of the kitchen. Based on our experience I'm happy to recommended Jordan Kozak and J&J Painting and we will call them again for other projects. read more
