Equally unique as the almost black sided exterior is the warm and rich wood tones of the interior. A lot of stores on the pedestrian-friendly Washington Street Mall blur together in my head but this shop was very memorable. Aside from the fabulous exterior and interior, I really liked the staff! They were welcoming and friendly, very laid back and conversational but not over-bearing or pushy. That is totally the way to do it. Kinda like you're just having conversation at a cocktail party. A lot of the merchandise sold at Quirk & Co is made by local artisans and other merchandise is proudly made in the USA. They have an awesome collection of candles, jewelry, scarves, tote bags, mugs, pillows and such. I also think I saw some cool vintage painted furniture.
