Wanted the flowers back - wanted me to leave the dead flowers on her porch. The excuse was she was busy working on a wedding . But didn't ask my info just wanted the dead flowers back. Do not waste your money buying flowers from this business. I also filed a complaint with Telaflora and got a refund from them. read more

I called the day of his birthday hoping he could get them that day and spoke to a very sweet lady of Asian descent who assured me she could do it. I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife to surprise her. I call the florist to see if I can get some roses delivered to my wife's job. The woman who takes my order down, but I have to ask repeatedly to make sure the message and order are correct. I completely brush it off because I'm just excited for my wife to receive the surprise. A few hours go by and my wife's secretary calls me informing me how bad the flowers look when they were delivered. My wife is happy about even receiving them. She finally sends me pictures of the bouquet and it looks like the flowers were in a box and shaken repeatedly. The stems were sagging, petals were missing, the bulbs of the flowers were hanging in all directions. This was even after my wife's secretary "cleaned up" what was an already terrible delivery of flowers. Upset by the flowers, I call back to the lady and she tells me that she delivered exactly what i ordered and even "added" more to the bouquet. She tells me that I am wrong about the quality and she remembers what she added. She would not even consider giving me a refund or a discount on the next set of flowers. She was very difficult to understand, so instead of trying to reason with her, I just took it as a loss and vowed to never due business again. I'm not one to complain about a small company, but I believe if they are giving out bad product, then people deserve the right to know. I haven't did a review in years, but i felt compelled to warn people about this place, especially if they have other options. I hope they see this and actually make an effort to improve their product AND customer service. Buyer BEWARE! read more

We were not home at the time of delivery and so J&R's went above and beyond... Calling my wife multiple times to assure we were aware of the delivery and knew to look for it... J & R Flowers delivered a large arrangement for my SIL's memorial service on Saturday. It looked okay (though not as good as three others delivered by another florist. The flowers were spaced a little too far apart so it looked slightly sparse in comparison). My husband and I took the flowers home, checked the water, and left the arrangement near plenty of light. Literally the next day, two or the roses were hanging over, dead, and fell off when I slightly moved the basket. By evening, two other roses were drooping. Several (2 or 3) or the white lily's were brown and shriveled on that next day as well. Today (day three), two more roses are dying. Overall, it's looking "weathered," to say the least. Leaves are crumbling and flowers are drooping. I just called and spoke to the owner's wife, Reiko. She kept saying, "I'm so sorry," over and over. She did offer to send some other flowers, but when she learned I lived in Mission Viejo, she said that could not be done. I told her my mother had ordered this expensive arrangement, and that I would have her call about a refund, and Reiko kept saying, "I cannot do a full refund." I said fine, I would have her call about a partial refund. She couldn't even hear me speak, though, because she kept speaking over my voice. I just tried to salvage the remaining live flowers by putting them in a vase, but many of them fell apart as I tried to do so. I just dumped it all in the trash. I'm just angry my family spent a lot of money on an expensive arrangement (12 roses, about 5 or 6 lily's and a lot of other white generic flowers), just to have it start dying the next morning. They should absolutely give my mother a full refund, though Reiko has said she won't do that. I will update when I find out what the result of my mother's call is. read more
