They will try to have you arrested for trespassing even though you are a paying customer if you use their restroom too long. They are rude and don't know how to apologize for embarrassing a customer. Knoxville has many laundromats and this one is ran by creeps who monitor your bathroom usage. Pick somewhere better than this place. Update: The owners of the establishment have decided to harass me over text message and are currently threatening me further. Please leave me alone, and stop harassing me. This establishment played an embarassing warning to the entire establishment because I was in the restroom for approximately 5-6 minutes that threatened me with police action because I was in the restroom for an extended period of time. I was in the establishment for an hour and a half approximately, and in that time I mainly worked on my laptop doing spreadsheets and emails. My clothes were still drying and I needed to use the facilities. I did call to complain about the warning, and managment escalated instead of descalating. Knoxville Police were called and did show up while I was loading my laundry in my car and patted me down in front of the establishment to where all they found were three dollars in quarters, a $20 bill, my wireless headphones and car keys. The police suggested I leave or be cited for trespass. I was finished, had no reason to continue to be there and left the premises and do not plan to return to this establishment ever. I stand by my review, I have used this place multiple times recently, and have used this place as far back as 2014 or so. A formal apology from the establishment and a return of the approximately $7 I spent to do my laundry would go a long way. Also, they watch remotely, can play any alarm at will and have a PA system in house. See the response to Jeff Van Natta on Google for further reference. " I was the one watching the cameras remotely that night. I played the closing announcement an additional two times for you specifically. 6 minutes before closing I got on the PA system, again remotely, and asked you not to put money in the dryer. You still did it. We did not receive a refund request from you." Using the owner's own words they absolutely were watching me. They saw I was a paying customer and that I had been there for over an hour and a half and still did that intentionally after I went to the restroom. Absolutely unacceptable behavior from these people.

Once the machine starts there is no stop button if the laundry detergent package got stuck in the door(which it did on five of the washing machines). Also when I got change for a 20 Quarters, yeah each time I got about four dollars less that my 20 I put in. What a disaster. I will never be back. Oh and one more thing some dryers ran cold no matter if you put them in white high heats or not. So I had to stand by them and feel which one got hot and move them if they weren't. They are open daily from 6am-10pm. The pros: Cheap: $2.50 for wash and $.25 for 12 minutes of dry; detergent $1.25 each New owners are working very quickly to get everything fully operational- they're trying New owners are nice and friendly Owners onsite so if a machine eats your quarters they'll reimburse you. Or if a machine won't accept coins, they'll fiddle with the machine and get it operation. The point is- if you pay for laundry they won't screw you over. Cons: The place is still very much "under construction" (see photos). Feels like there could be a potentially hazardous situation. The first time I came in they were laying flooring. No AC- it's hot and kind of smells like some kind of fluid. Many broken machines, vending machines not operational and no Wi-Fi. Kinda feels like you need to take a bath in anti-bacterial sanitizer when you leave to get the funk off. The good news is they are in the Planet Fitness strip mall, so if you're ok with a hole-in-the-wall laundromat where you can get your laundry done while you go workout then it's a win. I'm hoping that once they are fully settled in that things will improve and I'd be happy to do an updated review then.

From time to time the place shows obvious signs of heavy traffic having come thru so many people come here. The men's room has been out-of-order for many months with only the women's restroom open. The one working bathroom is often is pretty rough shape and needing to be cleaned and restocked. The bathroom issue is the one eyesore that remains to be dealt with properly. Standing water and a slight stench is typical here. Several folding tables are here to use for people to fold their dried laundry on without to much worry for them being dirty. I have not ever lost any money here due to machines not working and still taking money, the coin slot gets covered once someone knows it does not work properly. It pays to look inside your dryer of choice for ink pens etc. that have been left inside a pocket. I lost a few nice knit shirts to ink stains from a disposable ink pen left behind in my dryer. This laundry mat is attended by the owner/manager during business hours.
