I hired him last year to bring in top soil and lay sod on about 1/2 of my small backyard. When he came, it was only one person, James. (Frankly, I think he is a one man show.) A huge amount of dirt was dumped on my driveway. Rather than having a piece of equipment to carry the dirt to the backyard, he hauled it by one wheelbarrow at a time. It took him half the day just to get the dirt in the backyard. The next day, he came to lay the sod. OMG, what a fiasco! The pieces were about 2" above the existing sod. He didn't even try to taper it down to meet the existing grass. The entire thing was a mess. I ended up having to re-lay the new sod. I tried to get him back to correct it but never could seem to get him. DO NOT HIRE THEM. They (he) doesn't seem to have enough experience to be in this profession. read more

The owner James came by personally and did the original estimate and talked me through some of the options for the yard. After agreeing to a very reasonable price we scheduled a time with his office manager Amber who was super responsive and professional. James and his team worked on the yard over two days because he said he felt like it needed a little more time and didn't want to rush it. The team came back the second day and finished up the work. It looks like a new house! Many neighbors have stopped by to ask who we hired and complimented the newly landscaped lawn. We have since hired J&S full time to maintain the yard, bushes, trees, and forest line (our backyard leads into a green belt). Great work, professional team and very reasonable prices. Waiting on our return of our $!! This guy tells a bunch of lies and on his invoice there are phone numbers that are not valid!! Look out!! Scam!! I will take to court if I do not get my money back!! I tried to hire this company for three different jobs - routine lawn care, help with some landscaping, and some significant mature tree trimming (or perhaps removal). They scheduled an appointment to provide me the estimates. Nobody showed up - and they didn't call or email or anything. They just stood me up. A couple of days later, I got an email from their office saying sorry and they could reschedule. I figured, why not? Maybe it is a one off. After all, they have great reviews. Scheduled a second appointment. AGAIN - NO SHOW. NO CALL, NO EMAIL. Just didn't show up. Maybe they are good once they show up. Who knows. Terrible customer service.
