I hate leaving a bad review and it takes a lot for me to do so. 99%of the time I will not leave a…read morereview at all if its not good. But this one has me very frustrated. Their service department can not be trusted. I brought my SUV in for 2 recalls. 1 recall was to replace my review camera, the other was for a master cylinder. I picked it up after hours with my spare key and noticed my remote start didn't work. at first I thought it was me. Trying to use it the next day, I realized it again didn't work so I thought it might be my key fob. When I went in to get my original key from the service department I told them I noticed an issue with my spare key fob and remote start so I'll test this key fob to make sure it wasn't maybe something that happened when they fixed my recall. That key fob would not start my car either (remote locks worked fine). I tell them this. they said they would look at it on another day (I left for vacation and upon returning I took it back in) After a tech looked at it, they said I had bad keyfobs... Whaaaat? Both Keyfobs went bad at the same time? Everything else works on my key fob. That was ridiculous and immediately had me concerned that they weren't taking this seriously and just trying to dismiss me. They keep my SUV for another couple of days. They have another tech look at it (apparently same tech that did the recall) and they say that it's a bad RF module and that there's no way they could have caused damage to it. That's a pretty crazy coincidence. At this point I don't believe anything that they say is wrong with it. Its probably a damn wire they unplugged or disconnected. Every trouble shooting that I looked up (including the fact my rear camera was just replaced) says it's likely something that was disconnected during that repair. If I believed them about bad keyfobs I would have been out a few hundred to replace those. If I believe them about this RF module being bad then I'm out a few hundred dollars as well. I'll take the damn panels off myself to see if they just screwed up a wire. Something happened while my vehicle was there and I guess they don't want to take any fault in it. My husband and I currently own 3 Fords, I bought 3 Fords for my daughter's, we have owned many Fords in the past and I have specifically purchased a vehicle from here and my husband gets his truck serviced here but after this, no way. I'll find another dealership. UPDATE: Before picking up my SUV, my husband and I did a quick search online for possible problems. THE VERY FIRST THING THAT POPPED UP was a hood sensor being disconnected by the tech. Google even told us how to check. GUESS WHAT? The freaking hood sensor was disconnected. We were still on the lot of Iron Ford so i immediately went in and asked them to take a photo of the disconnected sensor before we reconnect. We reconnected the hood sensor and my damn car started right up!! (We did this right in front of one of the service workers). So, if we would have replaced the key fob that they said were bad, that would have cost probably $250 each. Then when they said it was the RF module for the remote start that was bad, that would have cost me several hundred. This could have cost a grand all for a stupid unplugged hood sensor. BTW, when I asked if they checked the hood sensor I was told to my face that they "TRIPLE CHECKED IT"... the tech is either a liar or has no clue what he's doing. This is absolutely subpar service. Rant over.
