As temperatures began to rise I wanted to capitalize on the opportunity to open up the windows to help bring fresh air into my home. To my dismay, the home also had multiple damaged/missing screens and crank handles. I started to research what it would cost to make the necessary upgrades to the windows so that I could allow a cross-breeze in my home which in turn will allow me to run the air conditioning less in the summer months. I was pleased to find a locally owned shop that was able to meet my need. Everything was completed professionally and in a timely manner. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.
