They are all under the same shady business owners and they keep changing their business name. My experience working with Julio was extremely disappointing. What started as a straightforward home renovation turned into a frustrating experience due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, and a complete lack of accountability. One of my biggest mistakes was proceeding without a written contract. Julio never provided one. The only documentation I received was invoices, leaving many important details and expectations undocumented. Although the company advertised remodeling and construction services, the quality of the work and overall experience did not reflect what I would expect from a professional remodeling contractor. One incident that especially concerned me occurred during the winter when I returned home to find that both the heat and hot water for my entire house had been turned off. The crew had been the only people with access to my home while I was away. I had to contact Julio to come back and restore the hot water, and instead of taking responsibility for the situation, he responded with an attitude and acted as though it was not his crew's responsibility. As a homeowner, I found that completely unacceptable. When the project was finished, my home was left far dirtier than expected despite being told there would be a cleanup. Construction dust and debris were left throughout my home, and I spent hours cleaning up after the crew myself. Julio also left behind a large amount of unused materials, including flooring, drywall, and insulation worth hundreds of dollars. I was initially told that I would have to return the excess materials myself. Later, Julio offered to remove them--but only if I paid an additional fee. I found that completely unreasonable since these were leftover materials from my own project. Communication was consistently unprofessional. I repeatedly requested Julio's contractor license information and never received it. I also searched for the business and could not locate it where I expected to find a registered contractor. In addition, the payment for the project was made to what appeared to be his wife's cleaning business rather than the remodeling business I believed I had hired. That lack of transparency raised significant concerns for me. To be fair, the plumbing issue that occurred after the renovation was ultimately determined by licensed plumbers to have been caused by tree roots in the main sewer line, not the renovation work. However, that does not change my opinion of the overall experience. The poor communication, lack of transparency, absence of a written contract, condition in which my home was left, and the way my concerns were handled were more than enough for me to never hire Julio again. I strongly encourage anyone considering hiring Julio or this company to verify business registration, licensing, and insurance, insist on a detailed written contract, and confirm exactly how payments will be processed before any work begins.
