The reason the pre-authorization didn't get filled out? "It just didn't" according to the girl on the phone at his office. So whether it was due directly to his ineptitude or his staffs ineptitude, either way my mother in-law never made it out of the hospital as she died July 6th. I worked in medicine, and the radiologist I worked with fired a girl on the SUSPICION she was stupid, because she wasn't going to wait for her to mess up and cost someone their life. Despite the fact that I attempted to reschedule the day of over the phone but no one would answer the phone. This is very disappointing behavior from a medical office, I understand policies should be followed but I am a brand new patient and was unaware my insurance at the time was practically worthless. Front desk said they would call and let me know if I would be accepted back but at this point I don't want to be a patient of such an inconsiderate office. What if I was in a true emergency that I couldn't attend or had no chance to call and reschedule? Would you discard your patients so easily? Shame on you! Do not recommend.
