Gardeners Patch sell pretty much any standard fruit and veg you would want. You wont find too much international out of the ordinary, but you will find inspiration if you're trying to think of a meal to cook. The staff are really nice and very helpful. I asked lots of potato related questions: best for mashing, roasting etc and they were happy to help. I've by a weeks worth (2 bigs bags) of fruit and veg for less than £10 each time I go. Jacquies is a neighbourhood staple, if the amount of customers passing through at 11 am on a weekday morning is anything to go by. The shop assistant carries on conversations at length with people of all ages coming in, which adds to the warmth and small-town feel of the place. Most importantly though, all of the veg here is outstanding - most of it looks fake to me, it's so perfect. Although produce at Jacquies costs a bit more than your average Asda fare, it's worth paying a bit more for fruit and veg that is far superior in size and quality.
