The phone rang, then it was answered by an automated system, then I was transferred twice. By the time someone answered, I was thinking I do not want to go through this to make an appointment in the future. The woman who answered was pleasant. I asked her if she were at the local office or at a centralized location. She told me the latter. I told her why I started my calling process and why I decided I was not going to be making an appointment. I asked her if there was anyone she could pass my comments on to. She was silent. Then I told I would just make a review such as this that I am doing now.

Unfortunately, my experience has been very different during my pregnancy. Pregnancy patients are required to rotate among all the doctors and nurse practitioners, which I found inconsistent and confusing during such an important time. I've also had several concerning experiences, including a doctor not reviewing my chart before discussing my previous LEEP procedure, another recommending aspirin despite my documented allergy, and a rushed Pap smear with a NP that resulted in heavy spotting and discomfort. Overall, my pregnancy experience has been disappointing. I feel they could provide better continuity by assigning patients to one or two doctors rather than having them see everyone in the practice. I'm seriously considering leaving.

Now al of the doctors are female. Most of my visits in recent years have been with Dr. Iyoyo. She is wonderful. We always have great conversation while she is doing my yearly exam and I never feel like she is rushing through the exam. But she also values my time and is efficient. Other times I have come in to see Dr. Yolanda Smith. I would highly recommend both of them.
