I have been very satisfied with the services of J.T. Plumbing Services. In 2020, they provided fair pricing for a water heater replacement in my condominium. In 2025, I did not hesitate in calling them to investigate why my grinder pump for basement sewage and wastewater would not turn off. Within a few hours of my call, an experienced and knowledgeable plumber arrived. He investigated, and found that the grinder pump switch had failed. The unit was probably 20 to 30 years old - well before I purchased the property, and while the pumping was okay, the switch failure would not turn off the pump. He provided pricing for three different options. Other Yelp reviewers complain that the cost for their services was unexpectedly high. Yet, when I checked the average cost of a professional replacement of a grinder pump, the quoted pricing was within the national average. It was a little higher than the medium cost, but I understood the installation would be dependable. Given the cost for the unit was about $3,000, I inquired about financing, and the plumber quickly connected me with the company's financing partner. I was approved for the loan on favorable terms and we were able to complete the transaction within minutes. Given the late afternoon hour, the plumber promptly drove to pick up the replacement unit from a local supplier. He had the new unit tested and functioning within 45 minutes of his return. The new unit has a separate switch, which is the most common failure for these devices, and so the next repair in the late 2030s or early 2040s will likely only need to replace the switch. Sometimes it pays to shop around and find the absolute best pricing. Other times, when a critical component fails that affects the well-being of my family, timely, well-researched decisions are the only option. Of course, I'd prefer the price of this project would have been lower. But given the results, I am satisfied and know the new unit will likely last 10 to 15 years or longer. read more

Minus one star if it were possible Cliff Notes- grossly overcharged, unresponsive replies to questions / concerns & documentation of services were not provided even though directly requested on several occasions. I first hired J.T. several years ago when they reached out to me, in response to a post on an online Q&A site. After servicing the AC, offered me their service plan. They seemed reasonable and honest, so I purchased their VIP membership. Allegedly that affords "priority", and discounted service. I did not receive any sort of documentation & name of installer & company logo was never put on the unit for reference. I had questions with my hot water heater, When I first contacted JT a tech was sent out to test for gas leaks, "fully stocked truck" didn't have a meter, so another was called in. It was found the unit was leaking natural gas. The unit was apparently reaching the end of it's life expectancy, and repair would cost as much as as a new one, if possible, since the failing part was no longer being produced. I ended up being sold a new one, foolishly without getting a second bid. By the time all was said and done, I practically needed a second mortgage. Grossly overcharged, and an inexperienced plumber did most of the work. To be fair, that tech is no longer with the company. Attempts to contact the company were slothfully answered. I did a cost breakdown of expected labor & parts, including highest cost for actual unit, In the absence of a cost breakdown, I created one, giving them the benefit of the doubt (rounding up to the next inch on piping) & fittings) and high retail of the unit, this was ignored. All I got was the runaround. Just remember to ask for a printed documented estimate. They won't even provide a rough estimate, they did not supply an actual paper receipt. The work order showed them working on the actual gas line in the house, which the inspector saw no evidence of it, and a permit wasn't pulled, anyway. read more

Called to get an estimate for resetting a toilet and was told they did not know how much it would cost. Paid the $79 fee to get an assessment and was told I needed a new toilet, which would either be $600 if we provided the toilet or $1200 if they provided the toilet. This was all determined without removing the toilet and simply assessing the water leaking from the base Called another plumber who took off the toilet and determined it just needed to be reset. The experience made me feel like JT Plumbers are dishonest and like others said - are outrageously expensive. In comparison, had I needed a new toilet the plumber I ended up working with provided estimates that were about half the price to replace a toilet compared to JT. They also said they could typically diagnose the problem and replace a part rather than the entire toilet. read more

Tried to charge us $3000 for a $300 job- tried to get us to do unnecessary repairs, charged a fortune, and were incredibly rude on top of it all. I will give them a 1 star rating though. After they fired ME and wrote me a nasty review on Google in response to a review I didn't even write (addressed it to me when it had another person's name on it), they did reimburse me for the $2000 they charged me up front. I do recommend Kahar Plumbing and US Plumbing though. They were great!!! Don't believe their 5 star reviews on Google. They take down the bad reviews. This business is a price gouger. The owner told me over the phone he doesn't care about competitive pricing yet he states it on his web site as a value. He bases his pricing based on their high overhead, expensive trucks & business expenses. I called him out directly and told him I had 3 other big company Plumber / AC companies who all under bid him by double! on installing a light weight Reme Halo in 3 hours . We provided the device. 2 of the 3 companies I checked in with, after the fact unfortunately, install the device and include the labor cost for a total of : $1387, one other company in Denver charged $1,600 for the device and the labor. We paid JT:: $1,950.00 for labor ONLY!!! They know it's price gouging and continue to rip people off if they don't get bids in advance! Additionally the young tech left on his own to initiate our install left the furnace switch off so we had no AC over night!!! The senior tech and his 2 trainees after working 2 hours all stomped out to their trucks. I had to chase them down and ask if they were finished. The lead say 'yes'. I had told him, I had talked to the owner. He acknowledged he knew that. I asked if he was coming back in to ? show me the work? He said 'no, you're fine just stay away from the blue light! $1,950.00 for labor & they refused to explain & show me the work upon completion. Beware. Tried to take advantage of a disabled housebound veteran who had mainline issues. I live in a huge house with my wife and 4 kids at home. After 3 times of having sewage back up a plumber apprentice (unsupervised) gave a 35-40k cost after saying that he was a master plumber and supervisor. Used a scare tactic to say if a temporary fix was made if it breaks again could cost upwards of 80k. Owner came out and said they could get fixed as a temp basis for about 15k and that we had orangeburg pipes that caused the issue. Since I have many health issues and need running water, my family and I went to stay at a hotel for 13 days while we tried to figure out how to come up with the money to repair it. The company did say I could finance the repair. My homeowners insurance would cover $10k of it, but any "living expenses would deduct from the repair amount. We reached out to Veterans Groups and one of them said they needed 2 other estimates before they could help and the 2nd company said the issue was a root had caused part of the mainline to collapse and they could repair it for $9,964 and that there were no orangeburg pipes anywhere within the system. The 3rd company concurred with the 2nd, but was at $14k. We were finally able to get it fixed with the 2nd company and all but $500 (deductible) was covered. I paid JT Heating and air $985 for the initial clean outs (which didn't fix the issue), and then spend an additional almost $2.5k living at a hotel, using a laundromat, and having to eat out based on the attempted scam that was tried to be run. Luckily the Veteran group I talked to had me get the other estimates. After the fact I looked up the plumbers license and saw the "master plumber" supervisor just got a Plumbers Apprentice License in March 2023 according to Colorado's Licensing website. According to Colorado law, Plumber apprentices are supposed to be supervised onsite and not be sent alone. Definitely a learning opportunity and I wont fall for it again. Some advice, when the plumber gets here ask to see their license credentials, make sure to get a 2nd, or 3rd opinion, and take time to think despite the emergency. I contacted the company by email a week ago laying things out and asking for them to contact me via email for some kind of resolution. I have not heard back from them so I filed a complaint with the Plumber's License Board, Attorney General, BBB, yelp, Google, anywhere else they advertise, and will be hiring an attorney to go after them for what's allowable under Deceptive trade practice laws. read more

I've used this company twice - first, to clear a blocked drain on short notice and they did fine. Months later, I found out that my house had polyvinyl butride supply lines, which tend to fail. Based on the first experience, I called J.T. out to get an estimate. The guy they sent recommended insulated PEX and quoted me $4000. I saved up and called back a few months later to get them to do a complete replacement. Here's where the problem started. The first guy is gone, and his quote was too low, by $2000. So I went and pulled the trigger anyway after not being able to get another plumber to even get me an estimate. They took a few days to get the job done, fine. Final price was over $7000, but only the first section of hose bib line was replaced, and much of the insulation was left on the ground without being wrapped around the PEX. Part of this was my fault for not checking the work out more thoroughly right after completion. Lessons to be learned 1) get multiple estimates 2) check work thoroughly and communicate dissatisfaction promptly (I called them to discuss and their office manager would always call back when I was not available) 3) be tenacious about getting satisfaction. I admittedly gave up too easily. I feel bad for the next contractor I hire because I'm going to uncomfortably involved in the process. read more

JT Plumbing is one of the most unethical companies I've ever worked with. I called them to fix a major plumbing issue (my main sewer line needed to be replaced), and I was quoted a $13000 price. I had no other option, so I agreed and paid the $7000 deposit. Once they got a massive hole dug in my yard (took about a hour with their small backhoe), they called and re-quoted the price at $34000 because they found some roots. I balked at the price (other companies had quoted about $15000 for the job), so I asked them to stop. They filled the hole back in, made a huge mess of the yard, and left. In doing so, they damaged the wall of the house. I asked for a refund, and they refused. They even asked me to complete the payment of $13000. I refused. I asked them to come look at the wall damage, and they refused to do so because I terminated the contract. I have since had another company do the job, and they were even cheaper than the original quote. Further, I had some more work done later with a landscaping company, and one of the workers with that company said that he used to work for JT, but he quit because of their "shady and dishonest business practices." We spent $250 for this company to fix a leak in our ceiling (directly under the water heater they installed) and they cut two holes in our ceiling, never identified the source of the leak, and still haven't repaired the two holes they made originally. I needed a P trap replaced under my washing machine to my drain. J.T. plumbing showed up at my house after speaking with them on the phone, they quoted me for a $85 diagnostic fee. Then, they told me they needed another crew to come out to perform heavier service on my pipe. Each time they came, they charged a ridiculous amount for "service" when in reality, they broke my washing machine vent, didn't fix it, and proceeded to cut a 4x4 inch hole in my dry wall. This service alone costed me $900 just for them to tell me I needed the next level of help. The plumbers took advantage of me, and presented me with numerous payment options. Not once did they present me an invoice, and made me pay $1500 up front for a down payment for their $3000 to fix the p trap. As someone inexperienced in plumbing, these prices seemed very sketchy to me, and I had to call the owner for him to tell me exactly what I was paying for, since the plumbers would not provide that. He then went on to explain how each visit is very costly and timely to them, and sounded like he couldn't give two cares about his customers, and cared more about money than his finished product. The next day when the plumbers were supposed to finish the project, the owner called the plumbers and told them to cancel the project, they walked out and promised a refund for the zero work that they did via phone call with the owner. However, the owner never called back after three days of promise, and completely blew us off. After doing more research around NoCo, I found many honest plumbers who were willing to carry out the replacement for under $900, a FRACTION of what the down payment J.T. plumbing was offering. I called this company JT plumbing, the first one popping up on google ( must've paid big advertising money) to replace a PVC drain pipe and hook up a faucet water lines. They repair guy, I believe his name was Jason. He gave me a six hundred dollars estimate for a job that wouldn't take even an hour. These people are absolutely shameless. I asked him about his hourly rate, he said they don't work on an hourly base rate. I am a professor and never made more $60 an hour and this guy was telling me I had to pay for his knowledge like he had to solve a logarithmic formula write an algorithm to glue a pipe. Watch a you tube video, spent $10 on part and fix it in less than an hour. I should've refused to give them the $39 dispatch fee, that's another scam read more

I called to request the company come to my home to just give me a quote on the work to be done. The technician did not need to diagnose my issue, or anything other than tell me what they would charge to fix the issue so I could determine if they were the best option. They provided me with a few options in cost but performed absolutely no actual work, and then charged me $59 just to give me a quote. That to me is outrageous. Quoting me what it would cost is a businesses way to try and win my business, it should not be a way to charge someone for the opportunity to work with them. Pure extorsion, I am glad I did not go with this company, but beware if you call them, they will charge you just to look at your issue even if you know exactly what you want done. If there were a NO star rating JT Plumbing would get it. I had NO work done after Patrick came to diagnose our plumbing issue and quoted nearly triple the cost for a very simple repair job. Patrick says the repair would be "about $1100 when his written amount was $1195 ( just five $ short of $1200, I got it done for 460 and it's perfect) He also tried to "identify" a 90 degree copper piece as "possibly likely to fail soon". Total BS, the color he claimed was leakage was actually slag from the copper line having been sweated on from original installation. Patrick then tried to claim the plumbing in our utility closet had "barbed" fittings that the previous plumbers must have messed up. Complete lie as all plumbing had been inspected prior to purchasing the home AND none had been changed or altered since we moved in!!! So.... Patrick only does quotes, then another team member would come to do the actual job. Patrick had to cut the drywall in the basement ceiling to find the leak, but had no tools to clean up the mess l. I had to provide a broom, dustpan & trash can AND do the cleanup after he left. Then a 3rd team would come to do water damage mitigation, replace the drywall and paint. He quoted $2200 for this part of the job. I got it done for less than $500 and it is perfect. Strangest part was we called Action Plumbing, thought we were getting someone from Action Plumbing but JT Plumbing shows up and has no idea how they got the call when we called Action!?!?? read more

Outrageous price to snake a drain. Charged over three times what the local competition charges. For one clogged drain they had to come out four separate times. The billing invoice did not match the work that was done. The technicians were friendly and courteous but the price was outrageous for the services completed. I would not recommend this company. Visit 1 Edit after Owner Response... Hydro Jetting was never completed!!! We chose the "Good" and with in eight hours of being snaked the drain backed up again causing more damage. Called these guys up to fix a sprinkler pump. They showed up way after when they said they would. Looked at the issue and told me I would need a new pump for like $295 all in which sounded odd as i knew this one was recently replaced right before i bought the house. Told him i think about it so instead they charged me like $215 for "diagnostics" and labor. Had Kahar come out who looked at it, just resealed it and tightened stuff up and it was fine. The Service guy was friendly enough, but we may have a new plumber now that is more reliable. They came too late for me to call anyone else. I had to call when they missed their service window and their text to announce their coming came after they actually arrived...poor communication today (1 hour past window when they did arrive). They ripped me off of thousands of dollars. We just had a small leak from a shower handle part wear and tear. It took their plumber several trips and several hours to find it. Made a hole on the ceiling. They charged $500+ to fix the shower handle leak. We had to spend another $500+ to fix the ceiling hole. And then after 4 months, this company called us and ask us to pay another invoice of $290+. Be very careful to get a quote BEFORE you agree to have a $59 diagnostic call. My husband had to disconnect our garbage disposal to remove an obstruction. That was successful however due to recent back surgery he was unable to lift the disposal to reconnect it. I didn't need emergency service or diagnostics I told Jason exactly what needed to be done. He sent a rep the next business day afternoon. I wish Jason had at least informed me that their "FLAT" rate for 33 minutes in my home would be over $360!!! That is the most outrageous cost for a very simple procedure. He needed no parts or supplies. And his "expert, experienced" skills that Corbin justified this cost???- he didn't even do it correctly, someone has to come back!! Steer clear. Hidden fee scam artists. I wanted a couple of opinions / bids for an approximately 20k repair/restoration job. JT was one of two plumbers selected from Home Advisor. 1. JT missed the confirmed appointment without notice on a Friday. Appointment was scheduled for noon with a window of an hour either way (11-1) at the request of JT. When no one showed I called at 1:30 and was told it was an internal miscommunication error on their part and rescheduled the appointment for the same time the next Friday. 2. The following Friday I received what appeared to be a spam call at about 8am from "FEERT BEERT" from a town 3 hours from my own. Voice mail indicated it was the plumber wanting to come by early. When I dialed the number I was connected to the JT switchboard who relay called the plumber and reconfirmed the appointment as scheduled for noon. (Somewhere between odd and unprofessional.) 3. The plumber arrived and after a cursory inspection asked "how much was I prepared to spend today?" Responding to my puzzled look he said that there was a $350 fee for them to use a camera to inspect the inside of a pipe. When I declined that, I was told there was a $250 fee for preparing a quote. I replied that the nature of the work was clearly explained to them when scheduling the appointment and that if fees were involved it should have been explained to me up front. If they wanted to give me an estimate fine, but that I wouldn't be paying any surprise fees today. Indicating that he would "make a phone call" the plumber headed back to his truck and returned about a half hour later with a quote. The icing on the cake? Wrapping up he asked how I wanted to handle the $59 "dispatch fee"? At this point I just laughed and said not a chance, it was never disclosed, their own switch board recording indicates that their calls are recorded if they would like to listen, and that he could get who ever he needed to on the phone and I would explain why I wasn't paying. With a shrug he just gathered his things and left. I should note that due to missing the first appointment, JT ended up being the second estimate. The first was from Tim at Peak Plumbing. Neither the camera nor the quote cost anything. A little more expensive for the job but on time, extremely professional, clear communication, and no surprise/hidden fees. JT Plumbing was absolutely amazing when one of our water heaters died. He came out to diagnose the problem himself and didn't charge for the visit. He came and replaced the old water heater with another plumber and was done so fast I was surprised! The work was impeccable and JT was incredibly friendly and helpful. He didn't even laugh at me when I didn't know if we had gas or electric water heaters! LOL! I will use JT Plumbing in the future for all plumbing needs, without hesitation. Had two pipes frozen with the recent cold. Scheduled an appointment to have this company come and evaluate then fix those for 8am-12pm the next day. They cancelled via text at 11am the morning they were supposed to be here. I called the company number to inquire about the cancellation and they said they cancelled all frozen pipe service calls that were scheduled. The only solution they offered was to have me drop some water to prevent freezing. But the pipes were already frozen, to the point where we could not drip any water. We stopped looking for a plumber once they confirmed our appointment. Now we're stuck with two frozen pipes and no help. Please don't schedule appointments you cannot keep. Especially when your services are called on to prevent a small problem from turning into a bigger (burst pipes can cost 10k to fix) problem. Website claims 24/7 service but that's just a third party scheduling service that apparently overbooks. Please use someone else so that you don't end up like us. read more
