The most amazing vintage furniture sets (yes, sets!) at very accessible prices. If only shipping them home wasn't that expensive!

The difference between good furniture and great furniture has to be experienced first hand…read more Hay, from Denmark are furniture manufacturers who - since forming in 2002, have embraced the design community and have become one of the main players in high end Danish modern furniture. This flagship store is operated by Cult, who are the dealers and manufacturers for other high end furniture such as Cappellini, Fritz Hansen and Magis. The prices of the pieces here are in the $500-$1000 mark for a good dining chair, but the quality and comfort means that you're buying an investment piece which will most likely increase in value over time. They also have the new "Wrong for Hay" range of homewares and office supplies, such as geometric nesting plates, magnetic cork paper clip holders and other items which would make great gifts and won't break the bank.

They stock a huge range from bric-a-brac to candles, scarves and kitchenalia, even sometimes lovely chinese painted furniture which I've never been able to work out how to get back home on the train. They used to be located in the old Midcity centre across the road, and to my mind have never replicated the lush and comfy feel of the old store. But the staff are always lovely, and they have sales where you can pick up a real bargain. When you're stuck for a last minute gift, it's the perfect place to rush in a find something slightly out of the ordinary.

Make sure you walk through the whole store and look at everything. There are hidden gems everywhere and you might walk away with some pretty unique gifts.

Dear Sir, I'm sorry…read moreto make some negative comments about this store. I've been to many Officeworks stores around Sydney and unfortunately have found many of the customer service staff working on the floor here being quite unhelpful, unprofessional and ignorant. They hardly come to customers even though they're doing nothing. Even if a staff is busy with something other than serving a customer, they must approach to the new customer immediately to assist by leaving all other things aside. I often struggled to get hold of someone even though the store hardly had any customers at that time. Some of them were even quite rude as they were asked for assistance. Hope this will help improve the overall customer service situation. Regards, Arif

I can't really afford anything in them and I don't own a home to put anything they offer, but none the less it is fun to pretend. My favourite thing in Domo is their furniture, they sell the most amazing lounge suites, many of them other quite other worldly, I can picture a sophisticated, well dressed alien reclining on this kind of furniture. I would describe the lounge designs but they are so unique and innovative I honestly don't know how. They have the coolest display cabinet I have ever seen, consisting of uneven lopsided cubes it again follows the futuristic style they offer, yet it somehow does not seem over the top. This is such a great shop, if you have the budget it is must see.

I did, but because I didn't have over $100 at my disposal, I had to wink and walk away... making promises to come back (that I hope I can keep).
