Omg so happy!! I was recommended by a coworker to go to Iris last min and I'm so glad I went! I was in only for an hour and a half and that's unheard of for my hair! I have long thick curly hair, I'm a hair stylist's arms worse nightmare. But Iris did it so effortless and quick! They're so friendly and the price was reasonable, with the amount of hair I have I'm surprised she didn't charge me more. I was happy with everything, definitely coming back here to Iris! And Ann was sweet, her hair washes are amazing! Almost wanted to close my eyes and sleep! And how can I forget the chairs where they wash your hair! I NEVER BEEN TO A SALON WHERE MY NECK ISN'T KILLING ME! I was so impressed by they're sinks, I had no neck pain what so ever! I even complemented Ann while she was washing my hair saying this is the best designed sink ever. Meh. I'm definitely not coming back here. First off, my hair is extremely curly and hard to handle, so I figured by making an appointment at this salon (that was highly recommended by a friend), I would be delighted with my hair. Wrong. My hair is accustomed to a very specific type and brand of shampoo, especially with my type of curls. I understand that not all salons have the brand I like, but there was absolutely no selection of other types of shampoos here. Not only did she use a non- lather, but it was big & sexy which is loaded with alcohol that completely dried my hair out. Not only was my hair dry like a brillo pad after she shampoo'd it, but it knotted my hair triple the normal amount. I was about to burst into tears when she was brushing my hair out. AND she combed my hair with a paddle brush which is the biggest no-no to curly hair maintenance. I tried telling her it needed to be combed, but she brushed me off. I just needed a cut because there was no way I was going to let her style my hair. Her cut, although it was okay, it wasn't the best. She cut my hair wet. ANOTHER no-no to curly hair maintenance. Curly hair needs to be cut DRY! How come no one knows this? Especially an "Experienced" stylist? Seriously, come on! Frustrated, I told the stylist that I wanted some curl cream because I just wanted to get out of there. Did she use a curl cream? Nope, she used a leave in conditioner that she raved was straight from Italy and it was the best. Negative. It was light, didn't hold my curls and my hair frizzed up as soon as I walked out. I left disappointed & frustrated. And as soon as I got home, I had to restyle my hair. Who wants to restyle their hair after leaving a hair salon? Anyone? I am giving it 2 stars because the price was decent, $25.00. But that's it. Please do not come here and find a better salon. ESPECIALLY if you have curly/unruly hair. read more

This is a beauty salon that caters to all hair types and also provides nail services. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised by the multicultural representation among both the stylists and clients. There were Caucasian clients getting their hair dyed and extensions added as well as black ladies getting straightening perms and roll and sets, etc. I also saw a Keratin treatment being done for the first time (side note: very interesting process with beautiful results). Nehow, This was my first time visiting and I'm very glad I decided to give it a try. I am a black woman with natural hair. The owner, Iris and her sister Griselda took turns tacking my mane, so to speak. Iris washed and set me up for a treatment. Griselda blow-dried and flat ironed my hair. The end result was nothing short of amazing! Its been a week and my hair is still flowing nicely. They used products that smell great (cant stop smelling my hair..lol) and also kept my hair frizz free. And anybody who knows, being a black woman in S. Florida, in the middle of May, with their hair out....these products must be the business! I don't know what they were, but I feel like I have struck gold. All in all, great experience. I am really surprised no Yelpers have reviewed this place as yet....business was definitely booming when I walked in the door and the staff worked efficiently so I wasn't even there long. Friendly and comfortable service... will be going every 2 weeks for pamper me time. I definitely recommend this salon for all hair types. -----Oops, I forgot to mention, the best part. I had my 2 year old son with me. They gave him 2 race cars and one of the hair dressers went next door to buy him a lollipop. Super sweet staff! Love this place. read more

I got my hair done by Teresa today and she did an awesome job . I have curly hair, when I arrived it was mid way down my back and I told her to cut only a little bit since I knew once dried the hair would shrink as curly hair does. She follows direction well she only cut exactly what I told her and didn't go over.shes Dominican and if you know Dominican hair dressers than you know blowing drying/straightening is what they're known for and she did not disappoint BTW I suggest paying the $10 for the deep conditioning treatment it's totally worth it. I didn't dye my hair and right now it looks shiny and even darker then it did before . Very pleased :) read more

I came in, Iris asked me how I wanted/ what I wanted for hair style etc. I showed her a photo, she made recommendations and went to work quickly! Very busy studio, but maintained phenomenally. Went for the very first time October 28, 2016. Needless to say Iris completely SAVED my hair! It was damaged beyond belief ... even my tips had burned off. I did hair Botox with Iris and she cut my hair also and when she was done with everything I almost cried. I was SUPER glad I had come. Today 3 months later I am back for another round of hair Botox treatment and trim. I am definitely a returning customer and will continue to cone back for more treatments. 1 alone was AMA omg on my hair, shiny moisture and healthy hair is what I have!!!
