Asked for payment upfront to get my yard mowed. simple job. Said they would get to it that day. Everyday it's another excuse as to why it cannot get done. Now I am out $80 and still have to pay to have my lawn done. NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. They rip off everyone that they contact. I had read the wrong reviews until after I hired them. they are scammers and do not do the jobs they are hired for. They should be reported to the police or at least removed from any service website. read more

Hired him to mow my lawn. He charged $200 just to mow the backyard the first time which was overgrown, which was fine. I told him we were moving in on May 23rd and he said if we needed help to let him know and that he had young men that could help us unload. I texted the day before and he said that his son would come help. Then the day of he tells me his son can't do it but that he would be there to help unload. My daughter rented a 15ft truck and loaded it with a little help from me and my friend, then started the 2 hour drive to the town I was moving to. I let Jake know she was on her way and he said " okay" then about 30 minutes later, he said he couldn't make it! No apology or nothing! I was so upset I was crying because now my daughter was going to have to unload that 15ft truck loaded to the brim, all by herself! I had also hired Jake to mow my lawn every 2 weeks. He never showed up for my daughter or to mow my lawn! I was going to hire him to do a bunch of projects at my new old country house. Too bad he's not reliable or a man of his word. I would think twice before hiring this guy to do anything. He only shows up if he feels like it. No commitment or integrity in his words. All a man has is his word and his reputation. We found Jakelope Services to be timely. However, It wasn't until they left and had been paid, we found that they had created more problems and corrected nothing. They diagnosed our problem completely wrong, and fixed nothing, even though my husband's repeated suggested diagnosis was correct in the end. They were determined they knew the fix, which caused further expenses and were ready to rent unnecessary equipment and charge even more labor until we stopped the project. They then refused to even answer our texts when they learned of their mistake. When I politely asked for a partial discount because of their incorrect diagnosis, and further costs (which I felt was only fair), they never bothered to respond at all. A simple fix performed by another plumbing service corrected our problem the following day in 2 hours time, professionally at a very fair charge. I do not recommend this company. Please don't let them take advantage of you. It's disheartening when a company knowingly takes advantage of their customers and refuses to admit their costly mistakes. read more

Gave quote to paint a 20x14 living room which was lesser of 3 quotes. Started this past Sunday and worked off and on for 4 days, never finishing. Got tremendous amount of paint on hardwood floor, on window panes, door knobs, etc. Had to let him go and now must hire someone to finish painting and do major clean up. Hate giving such a scathing review, him being such a nice guy, but I cannot recommend him for doing interior painting. read more
