He made several stops along the way (one was the Cliffs of Moher), but pointed out castles, towers, major historical spots, giving us some history, and great stories of the Irish people past and present. He had a great sense of humor and kept our interest for the whole day! He was able to handle any "surprises" that came his way from the 26 passengers that were on the bus. Kerry Coaches provided the transportation for our entire trip. Our driver, John Keane, was the greatest tour guide I've ever had for any tour anywhere. That's not an exaggeration, trust me. The majority of the group picked a few of us up at Shannon airport as they flew into Dublin the day before. After joining the group we made our way to the Cliffs of Moher and five minutes into the journey, the impressive knowledge and charm of our driver John Keane spilled out. From Irish history, to the geography and geology of the landscape we traveled, as well as the religious background, we all learned so much and couldn't wait to hear more. John also mixed in more hilarious Irish sayings than I've ever heard. The only negative of the trip is the regret that we should have filmed the whole week of John and the tour. We made our way to Dublin and watched the game. Those of us traveling back to fly out of Shannon had rented a van to leave early (4am) on Sunday to catch our flight as John was going to drop the rest of the group flying out of Dublin. When he heard that we rented a van he looked into it and set us up with another driver he knew that was taking a couple of people on the same trip at the same time back to Shannon that we were taking. We were able to cancel our rental, jump in with that driver, and not have to worry about driving on the wrong side of the road, getting gas, returning the van, etc. It really eased our minds for our final trip home. I hope that someone will read this and book Kerry Coaches for their travel in Ireland. Their coaches were clean and comfortable. Just basing it on our experience with John I'm sure all of their drivers/tour guides, are great, but if you can request John Keane you will thank me. He is truly a special person.

He was responsive and very helpful in getting the tour decided and booked. The day of our tour we were picked up in the lobby of the hotel by our driver Mick. He was on time and very kind and courteous. We had the most amazing day and saw every site, look out point, attraction along the way. Mick was the perfect tour guide as he was very knowledgeable about every area, he was friendly and kind, and he was a great driver. We absolutely consider this tour the highlight of our entire trip to Ireland. We will continue to recommend this service to anyone that visits the area.

Clare earlier in the week, so the first stop on the Ring of Kerry Tour - the bog village - was lacking. It wasn't really worth the 5 Euro if you've already seen a "typical" village. He was also very knowledgable, kind and friendly. He frequently walked the length of the bus chatting with each group. I knew that he was actually making sure that everyone was aboard, but it was so much more personal than taking a count. The scenery was, of course, fabulous, and we got a lot of time off the bus to enjoy it. I would personally skip the bog village and grab an Irish coffee at the pub instead, it is a poor example of a museum of this type. (The traditional farms in Killarney National Park are a hundred times more interesting, as is the folk museum at Cashel.) The sheep dog demonstration was fascinating.

We were in Killarney for 2 days, and every time we needed to go into town (2-3 times) and back, we called Flemings. We had a few drivers, and they were all extremely pleasant, friendly, and safe drivers. We felt completely at home with them. If we find ourselves in Killarney again, we will absolutely use Flemings Taxi service again!! I came here with…read morea group of friends and figured a nice, relaxing day trip would be a nice way to check out the remote Dingle Peninsula. The price was a steal, if you have even a small group you can more than likely do the trip without being saddled with random strangers on a regular bus tour for about the same cost. The very punctual bus was a nice Mercedes 15 passenger bus with cushy leather captains chairs, a mini fridge and massive windows so you could take in all the scenery. Our driver was the BEST!!! He was so knowledgeable about the area, it's history and random trivia factiods. He let us dictate where we stopped, how long we stayed, gave us tips for places to check out in the various towns and stopped at many scenic overlooks for the shutterbugs in our group. Even on the ride back he didn't seem to be overly concerned with having us back to our house by the official end time of our tour. I would totally and completely suggest J.O'Callaghans for any type of tour of the area!!
