That was such a moving experience. I'm glad I went because I didn't even know this museum existed. It was so great to see more about Jackie Robinson and also to learn about his wife and his journey. It def made me cry. We need to remember these things so we can honor the people that found for equity for the Black community. Please go

Great museum, well organized, open and bright, visually appealing. Under 20 bucks to enter. Many Robinson artifacts, including military memorabilia, sports jerseys and jackets, and personal letters. The staff were super nice and helpful. A lot of interactive displays and touch screens. Gives you history of Jackie, baseball, and the civil rights/political movements of the time. It shows you his triumphs and his trials, and times when maybe he regretted his decisions (like speaking out against Paul Robeson and supporting Richard Nixon). If you truly take it all in, you'll spend at least a couple hours here, and you'll really get to know the sports legend. An important, moving, poignant museum that's worth the trek over to the East Village.

I visited the Jackie Robinson Museum with my husband this past Saturday, and I really enjoyed the visit. I didn't really know much about Jackie Robinson before our visit, and I learned a lot about him - from his childhood to his accomplishments in sports to his importance to the civil rights movement. The museum is modern and well-designed. It displays great information - easy to read - and has some great artifacts as well. The museum wasn't crowded at all when we visited (there was a group of kids touring the museum with a guide and we enjoyed listening to the guide and hearing the kids interact with him and the museum), so we were able to read everything we wanted. The museum isn't huge, but it's spread out across the whole ground level of the building. Depending on how much you like to read at a museum and how interested you are in the museum and Jackie Robinson, you can easilky spend an hour or more at the museum. Definitely worth a visit whether you're a baseball fan or not! I'm glad we stopped by. I have a whole new appreciation for Jackie Robinson.

Beautiful museum detailing the life of the first black baseball player Jackie Robinson. It's laid out very well and it covers every aspect of his life with documentation and videos as well. Definitely worth a visit the admission price is reasonable. I definitely recommend it if you are in lower Manhattan it's off the beaten path but it's a good detour

In honor of Black History Month, I did myself a favor by visiting on a quiet, rainy Sunday afternoon, I'm so glad I did it! The staff were welcoming at every point of interaction. The exhibit was interactive and did a phenomenal job at telling Jackie Robinson's story! While the facility may seem small in size, there's lots of information to read, see and explore. The preserved and replicated artifacts were amazing. What I love about the museums that tell black stories is, they do an exceptional job at connecting historical dots of our movement champions and open a window to wanting to research and continue the learning. The gift shop stop is a must with items at various price points.

Really well done museum highlighting the accomplishments of Jackie Robinson. I would plan to spend a little less than 1.5 hours here. It's a lot of great displays and will take you time to read through it all. Pro tip: if you have a New York City library card you can reserve tickets for free!

Great experience here at the Jackie Robinson Museum. Decided to visit on a Friday in the early afternoon. It was very quiet there with only about 7-8 other visitors there at that time. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for children. There are also some discounts available including Culture Pass throughout the New York Public Library Program...so be sure to check before you go. The Museum is all on one floor but has lots of great informational exhibits. As the name suggests, it focuses on Jackie Robinson and takes you through his life and struggles as he excels through his baseball career. It also goes into his military experience, background in other sports and activism. While it was still interesting for me, someone who isn't much into baseball, I believe this would be an absolute must for any baseball fan...moreso any Brooklyn Dodgers fan. All staff I encountered includng security (bag check), registration desk, and gift shop counter staff, were very nice and helpful. Easy access by Subway: one block from the 1 train and two blocks from the ACE trains, both at their respective Canal Street stations.

Excellent museum that honors the life and legacy of Jackie Robinson. The museum features many items from Robinson's life including his awards, original Baseball Hall of Fame plaque, uniforms, and equipment. My son's favorite part of the museum was the miniature model of Ebbets Field, which features an interactive screen that plays various videos. It's not a very large museum, but it's a must visit if you are a baseball fan. I appreciate the museum for being open on Juneteenth. There was a scavenger hunt for kids, but I wish there were more specific activities for children. One of the staff members did share that there are more child-centric activities for school groups (field trips).

I truly enjoyed the Jackie Robinson museum. What's more perfect on a hot summer day in NYC than a museum honoring a legend in baseball and truly inspirational human. The museum has a variety of features, including short video documentaries, audio stories, interactive features, pictures, artifacts, game used memorabilia, and more. There's also a small store at the front of the museum for souvenirs.

Absolutely worth a visit to this museum. I'm so grateful to his family and those who brought this collection and compilation of history to life. As a person of color, I am brought to tears every time I read about how we treated blacks and how Jackie Robinson had the strength and conviction to help others. There are touch pads that give you quick snippets of history and a wall of screens with ear pieces for you to listen to special people sharing their memories of Jackie. Such a shame that he passed away so young. Even if you are not a baseball fan, take some time for a visit to learn more about the ugly history of hate and fear in this country. Take the time to reflect and educate yourself so that you become more aware and can have empathy. It's not a large museum and it's all on the ground floor so you can visit in an hour if you don't read everything. Make it 1.5 hours if you are a person who is into the details. Lots of memorabilia of course including Jackie's induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame plaque. If you can't make it to Cooperstown, come here! There is a gift shop just to the right of the entrance with some nice items. We walked away with several items for Christmas presents. Worth a visit!

We were in New York last year and the museum was officially opening a few days after we had to depart, so we planned a return visit. You don't have to be a baseball fan to appreciate this museum. It represents a solid piece of American history and does a fantastic job in chronicling the life of Jackie as well as his wife, Rachel and their family. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP which provides complementary entry tickets. We took the subway to the Canal street exit and entered the museum. Again, the venue is packed with lots of artifacts and information. A bigger hit is the gift store which offers some great items. Staff is very friendly and made our experience very positive.

Skyscape is a really engaging and a well designed experience. Theres a lot to see and do, with interactive spy style missions that kept both me and my son entertained the entire time! My son was completely locked in the whole time and I was right there pretending I definitely understood the instructions on the first try. It's mostly a hands on experience, you're not just walking through exhibits, you're actually participating, solving challenges and learning as you go. Even better, it didn't feel crowded, which made it comfortable to move through at our own pace. We were able to go back and redo some of the exhibits we enjoyed, which made the experience even more fun the second (and third) time around. Overall, a great mix of entertainment and learning, especially for kids but enjoyable for adults too. 10/10. My son loved every second. I loved pretending I knew what was going on.

The challenges, puzzles, and games really make you think--you definitely have to process the clues carefully! There are multiple levels to complete, and throughout the experience you're asked questions that determine what type of agent you are, which was a really cool touch. It was challenging, but in the best way. Now that I understand how everything works, I definitely want to go back and do it again to see if I can do even better! If you're looking for something interactive, different, and a lot of fun, I highly recommend checking this place out. We'll definitely be back!

If you're reading this review because you're thinking of attending an upcoming performance, and you're on the fence about it, then I hope that this review will persuade you to get off of the fence and into a seat at Carnegie Hall! Trust me, it's so worth it. Most recently, I participated in a wonderful event at Zankel Hall. It was called "The Divine Art of Music," and it was fabulous. It featured much of the best of both "Western" and "Eastern" music; I can confidently assert that it uplifted many souls that evening. Zankel Hall itself, which seats about 600 people, had such an intimate and fresh feeling to it...highly recommend it! The ushers were all focused, kind, attentive and friendly, which also contributed to a positive and memorable experience for everyone in attendance. IMHO, Carnegie Hall is a foretaste of heaven, which makes heaven all the more attractive. : ) In conclusion, it's truly one of those awe-inspiring gems on this side of the veil, so to speak, which brings us not only culture but a sense of God's goodness and loveliness to all who enter it. I hope that it continues to flourish for many years to come.
