After avoiding the dentist for 10 years because of a terrible/creepy experience with a dentist in south amherst, I reluctantly went to Dr. Jacko's office. I had been having some pain in one tooth and went into the appointment pretty sure that they were going to have to pull every tooth out of my head and that I would have to pay with my first born child. I cannot even begin to express what a wonderful experience I had with the staff in Dr. Jacko's office. Within the first 5 minutes of the check up, Mrs. Bailey -- the hygienist-- had put all of my fears to rest. She gave me lots of positive feedback about my teeth and was SO FRIENDLY and just awesome. There was ZERO pain the entire visit. Seriously, somehow she even managed to do the part of the appointment where they stick the metal pick in between your tooth and gum without making it hurt AT ALL. Dr. Jacko was equally awesome. After looking at my x-rays it was determined that I only had two little cavities that can easily be fixed. Keep in mind that the south amherst dentist had, ten years prior, told me that I needed all kinds of crowns and root canals, etc. I was able to see the x-rays that Dr. Jacko's office took, and my mind was blown. I didn't even have to pay anything because my insurance covers it! This was a fabulous experience. I walked in without an appointment inquiring about a last minute visit while traveling. They welcomed me in and I was in a chair within 10 minutes. The dentist (and staff) were all very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend them. read more

Dr. Jacko and his entire staff are truly one of a kind. His receptionists always make you feel welcome and remembered, like you are seeing an old friend. His dental assistants have been so friendly and they enjoy fun conversations and joking around, which always puts me at ease. They always seem to remember who I am. And Jacko himself is a man of true integrity. I made the mistake of going to a dentist that my other insurance covered since I'm out of work due to illness and that dentist was scary and messed things up. He was very understanding and is slowly working on fixing what happened. He has never given me the feeling that he is trying to do more work to get paid, which I've felt from every other dentist I've had. He's very soft spoken and kind. Pretty sure he could do well as a therapist because his voice is so calming. My point is, he's a person you can trust. The people in his office you can trust. And if you have anxiety from previous dental nightmares, give him a shot. He's truly a good person. read more
