I was excited to work with Jemson for all the cabinetry for our new house, even convincing our…read morebuilder to let us use someone new to him. Designing was great with Abby. Everything went downhill after that! Our last backordered piece arrived yesterday, 8 months from when the builder paid 50% down. The customer service and management was so lacking and we had to initiate 75% of the communication, including a demand or we take action to get the $2,000 deposit returned that they accidently forgot to credit us. We ended up providing our own installers due to the timing of everything in attempt to stay on schedule. Jemson told the builder he had to pay the 2nd half closer to when we wanted delivery. Once they had 100% payment, we started to learn of all the delays. We did not feel the urgency to get things sooner-especially with the backordered things. Our last piece had the delivery date changed 3 times, each time saying it would be a month longer. We feel someone dropped the ball in ordering. Jemson did not reach out to us to see if we got these last two pieces and if everything was complete and satisfactory, closing our order. Fabuwood's semi-custom kitchen is beautiful but it should not have taken 8 months to complete! "Thank you for your patience." was the only platitude we heard from Jemson in response to our frustration and the wait. I would NOT recommend working with Jemson if you are hoping to have an experience without frustration, stress and being treated fairly and with dignity as a paying customer.

He never displayed the real company name, leading me to believe he was a Home Depot internal professional. * See other complaints above that include interactions with Ian Foltz - especially the reviews left by women. This company appears to target women homeowners using pressure tactics, condescension, and inflated pricing. I will be filing a formal complaint with NJ Consumer Affairs. Do not use -- regardless of the Home Depot affiliation.

The Goal: Replacement of all windows and rear door(s) on a 26 year old residential house. Repair,…read moreif possible, of decorative window lattice on sides of front door. Excellent work by the AJ Window & Door crew (James, et al.). Overall, extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and windows, as well as customer service by Tom and Eve, co-owners (who worked out plan, gave quotes and customer service). We had considered windows from national outfits including Pella and (Renewal by) Andersen, as well as Lowes also. Quotes varied with Pella having both the lowest quote and seemingly a lot of variety to choose from. However, AJ Windows had a higher quality and better insulated window (and insulation was on our minds at this point in window life), and Tom worked with us on price. During our search period AJ Windows performed some minor miracles (very old windows, metal and brick casements, large gaps) at my wife's place of work and that cinched it. Installed the OKNA 800 Series windows. They all move well, look fantastic and have superior insulation/leakage factors. Previous windows had a single lock clasp (these have two) and tended to slide up or down leading to convection losses as well as (more) conductance through the windows and condensation due to loss of seals (double panes). White color works well with most anything, but the outer white wood trim will allow for painting to match (not that I look forward to any paint job). Removal went smoothly, including the centerpieces of twin double-hung windows that were now large sliders (part of the cost savings as well as letting in more light). The double back door removal was more challenging with some rotted wood and a thin tile piece that cracked (Eve compensated us for this). The sliding glass door was a HUGE improvement. Window insulating and caulking is important but the trim forming and placement evidently takes experience and skill to make it look right. James was top-notch in this regard. We can already see a difference in the amount of light let in and the insulation, although I am almost looking forward to seeing how much better these windows are next winter (no rush, though...). James attempted to access the decorative windows (that the neighborhood builder had evidently got a good deal on) - the rubber seals had melted to the consistency of wet caulk - but he could not do so without risking a breakage of the windows. We decided to forego this repair for now (will replace full door/windows later) and I appreciated his attempt and honesty. Clean-up was good and I have confidence that they stand behind their work.
