I loved the park grounds and the grass was clean. The woodlands nearby were all green and it was a very nice place to watch nature. Many folks came but there is a lot of lawn to spread out. I…read moremust really love my nieces because they told me there was a snake in this building, even a double headed one and I stay clear from any sort of reptile. Snakes freak me out! The conservation is beautiful. Local flowers, animals, amphibians, bees, birds, reptiles and fish. They had information about hunting, fishing, and all the animals. One thing I learned is that the Queen Bee has a green spot on her back. I used to teach elementary and I never knew that. (Or maybe I'm forgot) either way... How cool! They have a few activities for the kids and toucan so use binoculars and look at birds, butterflies and squirrels right outside the window. It's quite beautiful and a fun way to learn.

I travel for a living with my pets so I am a critic when it comes to dog parks and this one has everything needed water access, separate doggy areas, CLEAN doggy areas which is rare. The park is gorgeous I will be going here lots while on my 6 week assignment with my pups. The grounds are kept amazingly clean and beautiful for dogs people and children. Thank you Parks division for a wonderful play area in Missouri. The entire setting is worth the drive for me from Sikeston just north on 55 and GPS right to the location.
